About Kat_Woods

I am currently studying for a speech therapy degree and a vocal minor. I have 10+ years of experience in voice (with instruction): three years of experience with my adult mature voice, including two years of experience in college with a voice professor. I mostly compose music and play for fun. I am a classically trained singer, but I can also sing in jazz and pop genres. I have a very special place for broadway in my heart and love singing and performing in musicals whenever I can. 

For instruments, I have 8 years experience for oboe, 6 years for percussion (with a specialization in steel drum, marimba/vibraphone/bells, chimes, tenor drums, and just about every toy you can name), and four years of English horn. If you're a fan of Irish music, I have been playing the Irish tin whistle and low whistle for three years, and have composed a few tunes for both. 

I have composed a trio for oboe, English Horn, and piano, and am currently working on a SSAA choir piece and a duet for oboe and bassoon.

I play dungeons and dragons on the side, and am looking forward to start voice acting. I have done character voices for musicals and plays, but have not tried voice acting yet.

    Kat_Woods is a superstar! I hope awesome things for her future roles. She played Rainbow Dash, Starlight Glimmer, and Rarity for my audiobook project on the first arc of my My Little Pony fanfic, The Master Mev. The arc was 11 chapters. With Rainbow Dash as the main character, Kat was in all but one of them.

    She had a lot of work to do, and she was fantastic at it. It was such a treat to listen to her takes. So much great execution on instinct and accommodating to when I wished things differently through retakes.

    I cannot sing enough high praises for this actor, but I can definitely say she was a joy to work with. I will consider myself extremely lucky if I do more projects, and she joins me again. I am happy to recommend her voice acting talent.
