Best Voice Acting Websites for Finding Work

The best voice acting websites

By Buford Taylor, who runs Casting Call Club. Updated October 2026.

There's no single best voice acting website. It depends on whether you're starting out or chasing paid commercial work, and whether you want to pay for a membership. I run one of these sites, so take that into account, but here's an honest rundown of where voice actors find work.

For starting out and indie character work

  • Casting Call Club. It's free to join, audition and cast. It hosts thousands of indie projects a year: animation, fan dubs, games, visual novels, audio dramas. The work is mostly unpaid and hobby stuff, with some paid roles, and it's the best place on this list to get your first credits. Browse the open voice acting roles.
  • Reddit and Discord. Voice acting subreddits and fandub servers post casting calls now and then. They're free, but scattered and hard to search.

For paid and commercial work

  • Voices.com. It focuses on commercial, corporate and explainer work, with paid memberships for talent. There's more in Casting Call Club vs Voices.
  • Voice123. It has a similar commercial focus and is also built around paid memberships. There's more in the Voice123 comparison.
  • Backstage. It's mostly on-camera and stage work, with some voice over. You need a paid membership to apply. There's more in Casting Call Club vs Backstage.

For selling your own services

  • Fiverr. You list fixed-price gigs and buyers come to you. Fiverr keeps a cut of what you earn. There's more in the Fiverr comparison.
  • Upwork. Clients post jobs and you send proposals, which costs credits. There's more in the Upwork comparison.

For audiobooks

  • ACX. This is Amazon's marketplace where authors and publishers cast narrators for audiobooks. It's free to audition, and work is paid per finished hour or as a royalty share.

Most working voice actors use more than one. A common path is credits and a demo on Casting Call Club first, then paid platforms once you're ready to chase commercial clients. If you're just getting going, read how to become a voice actor.
