Tensions are extremely high between the people of Athena and their gigantic, monstrous oppressors, the Leviathans. A paramilitary organization based in a polis named Kasteel, known as the L.C.D.A. (Leviathan Containment and Destruction Agency) thinks they have the solution to this endless, pointless slaughter. The Lockwood Military College students are invited by the L.C.D.A. to try out for their experimental program to see if they can turn the tides of the war with this new approach.
