Hello. My name is Chris Dunnells. I’ve been working as a voice over artist for 4+ years and have completed dozens of projects during that time, ranging from amateur poetry reads to a professional audiobook. I am currently part of 2 audio dramas, and a bit of one of them can be heard in my demo section. The majority of my work has been amateur/volunteer, but I'm no less proud of it than if I'd been paid for it. I am, however, looking to make this a full-on career, so I bring a fun and passionate yet professional attitude toward my work. I can be contacted at the personal email address in the headline, here on CCC, and under the same name on Voices dot com, Fiverr, and Backstage dot com. You can also find me at ChrisDVO.bsky.social.
I am an Air Force veteran, and as such I work well in a team environment. It also means I am not afraid of direction, constructive criticism, or hard work. Clear communication of expectations makes everyone's life easier. I will ask questions that I think might be relevant to my performance as my goal is to deliver what the director/creator envisions.
This "About Me" will likely be updated from time to time.
Thanks for reading this far.
Chris
My formal acting education is just beginning. The SkillsHub site was founded by the legendary Jennifer Hale, who takes a very active role in the development of the different curriculum offered, as well as in the development of the students. However, I grew up doing church musicals and have been an active table-top roleplaying gamer for almost 4 decades. Coming up with characters and jumping quickly between them has become second nature.
I'm flexible, but I use the rate listings from Voice Over Rates | Voices and Voice Over Rate Guide and Union Information [VORG]
as guidelines. While I am not a SAG or Equity union member, I support both unions in their mission to both promote and protect the interests of actors in general, and voice actors specifically, so I will not damage their bargaining power by undercutting their members on rates.
Commercials, corporate, narration, animation, video games... I'm game to try whatever someone thinks my voice will be good for. This has been a hobby for several years but I'd like to make it a career. I'm getting too old to keep doing the labor my current occupation sometimes requires.
