Caryl is a Filipina lesbian musical theatre performer based in Wellington, New Zealand. She is classically trained as a mezzo soprano specialising in musical theatre, pop/rock, and rap.
Since her surprise first performance at the age of three during a screening of Pocahontas, Caryl has performed in musicals onstage at Walt Disney World, at the TSB Bank Festival of Lights in New Plymouth, along the Kapiti coast, and in her home of Wellington. She has also sung at local community and cultural festivals including CubaDupa, Out in the City, Spring Into Tawa, and Japan Festival Wellington, as well as fan conventions in Melbourne, Auckland, Christchurch, Whangārei, and Wellington.

Caryl was wonderful to work with! She was an excellent communicator, she showed up for a live recording, and was receptive to feedback and requests for retakes. While her role in my paranormal mystery audio drama, Millennial Monsters, was small, she put her everything into it. I honestly wish I had more lines for her! Don't hesitate to onboard her for any of your creative projects.
