About Alessa Whatley/VAButterfly

Hello! I'm Alessa Whatley, (aka VAButterfly)! I'm a Christian voice actress, writer, singer, and dancer! I've been voice acting for over one year and have experience doing audiobooks, audio dramas, fan dubs, original animations, videogames, song covers, ads, and more! Whether you need a high-pitched anime girl, a cold villain, a little girl, or a news guy, I can help you! I also do narrations for audiobooks, ads, etc.
I can also do skit writing and demo reel writing!
Now PLEASE READ BEFORE HIRING ME
I WILL NOT be in projects that:
Have cussing
NSFW
Anything inappropriate (not family-friendly)

Update: I am now paid-only! I now have work regularly, returning project owners, lots and lots of experience, and I'm ready to make this a paying career. I will stick with any unpaid commitments I'm already in and will likely audition for unpaid projects I find interesting, but ONLY paid requests from now on.
If your project meets the requirements, feel free to contact me! Have a blessed day!

  • @ame-animation

Alessa is a very talented and friendly voice actress!

Her audio is very clear, and she gets her lines in very fast, and is always willing to do re-takes.

She is able to do multiple kinds of voices, and is able to take on two characters if needed.

If you work with her, you will not regret your decision!

  • @Erika-Whatley

I have had the pleasure of working with Alessa in multiple projects and she  is a very talented voice actress with a range that never fails to impress. Male, female, infant to adult, she does it all and sings too! She is also very friendly and the first to help out others and encourage you along the way. If you are looking for a quality VA, you can't go wrong with her.

  • @Erika-Whatley

I have worked in 2 projects of Alessa's and it has been a pleasure. She is very friendly, understanding, encouraging, and helpful. The atmosphere in her projects is so refreshing. It's clean, positive, and like being with family. If you are considering working in a project for her, don't hesitate!

  • @SliceDMelons

Alessa is a very sweet person! She has voice acted in my project as Pluot. Although she doesn’t have a lot of lines with him, Alessa is very quick to turn in assignments! She does a great child voice if you’re looking for that! Very cute voice, keep up the work! 😋

  • @plasticwraptv

Alessa was very nice and understanding of the contents of my project. Even though she had a very minimal role in the project, she delivered it very well. I would highly reccomend her!

  • @mel-rose

So fun to work with this creative person! Highly recommend!

  • @snick1993

You worked on my Littlest Pet Shop (2012) comic dubs and you got Blythe Baxter, Pepper Clark, Penny Ling and Buttercream Sunday all set and spot on!

  • @ford

Alessa is a very talented and extremely reliable voice actress! She does the lines for the scripts within the first few days of receiving the script and she can do all kinds of different voice types and different accents! She's very friendly and she communicates very well. You would not regret casting her in your show.

  • @dirty-daniel

I am not being sarcastic. I wish everyone on this website had standards like AlessaW. So many voice actors unapologetically speak things that put themselves at odds with their faith and lack remorse, yet when its easy and convenient or more accurately someone else who's popular says they're a Christian then they confess their faith. As a passerby, I just wanted to state my admiration for Alessa's firm stance on avoiding and refusing vulgar content. I'm also grateful for the few project managers that despite not being Christian can usually modify their work to make believers more comfortable in performing the set piece they're given. I think these kind of behaviors should become more commonplace. (I'm not a good example of any of these traits which is why I'm commending Alessa because she is.)

  • @freddybobfazbearpants

Alessa came in clutch did very well as 'Yellow' on 'Family of Colors'. 10/10 would recommend.

  • @kevinnguyenva

10/10 voice actor for you high pitched baby character

  • @precure-gacha-fan-lover

Honestly, Alessa is quite the fun one to work with! She may have only voiced in one of my projects (as of my recommendation being written) but she is very efficient at her work!

  • @yaboihax

Alessa is a very very hard worker, I respect the heck out of her work ethic. She isn’t lazy, she takes her time with each project she works on, She really becomes her character. Shes a true inspiration to all the aspiring voice actors out there, And I’m blessed to be working with her.

  • @IArePatrick

Alessa has been very active on my project despite having so many other active ones. She's usually the first one to turn in lines even when the deadline is in a week. Very reliable.

  • @EmberRae

Three words that spring to mind when describing Alessa are kind, determined, and talented! Alessa and I voice acted alongside each other in a Subspace Emissary Dub, where she voiced Ness and Pikachu! If you hire her, you will not only get a professional va with amazing talent to brighten up the room and bring characters to life, you will also get to work with an amazing human being! ❤️

  • @penginojob

Alessa was incredibly supportive and polite throughout the process. She showed interest in the project and brought a positive energy that made collaboration easy. I’d gladly work with her again.

  • @pinkgachaberry

    They are so good! 😊

  • @dsafasjifa

I worked with a couple of times but she’s one the best actresses I worked with. And I hope to continue working with her.
