As an Imperial Guard, and an experienced master of battle and politic, Oshtor is one of the most respected men in Yamato. With all the dignity of a samurai lord, he is calm, courageous, and focused on the happiness of his people. However, his high rank keeps him in the court and away from the public he serves. To better know his people and enjoy the more common pleasures in life, he disguises himself as "Ukon"--a boisterous, friendly mercenary captain.

Voice: As a man with an alter ego, this will require two separate voicings for the character as a whole, both of them in the same low-to-midrange tone. Oshtor is calm, contained, and formal--never losing his dignity or composure, and always treating others with (and commanding) respect. Ukon, however, can be rowdy, looser, and rougher around the edges; more of a friend than a commander. Neither of them should come across as forced or contrived--he's comfortable in both roles.
