Much like Marcus / Cassia, Viyide has a fluid gender, frequently changing due to being a mentally unstable shapeshifter. We are prepared to hire either both a male and female VA to pass the feeling of great variance in Viyide's tone, or someone who can do an extremely wide range of voices. If you wish to be considered for the latter, please use your entire range in your audition. Viyide is the token mysterious neutral character, but goes a step beyond that, almost relishing in having muddled intentions. Viyide is the product of mixing Cheshire Cat, the mythic Coyote, and a passive identity crisis into a single being. A lot of Viyide is difficult to discern as s/he will even question her/himself sometimes. Deep down though, Viyide is simply bored and tired having watched the world grow and change since it’s beginning and struggling to care as the tides of power turn. Most of all, s/he misses having companionship. Someone to be his/her friend who won’t die in a century or so. Viyide speaks in a very disjointed manner, pausing frequently and making heavy use of sentence fragments. S/he also uses a greatly varying tone using his/her entire available range. Also, really likes saying savvy.
“You see benevolence in such a binary way. As if you have it or you don’t. It’s not that simple. Even you have committed some atrocities. What have you to say about the hundreds of monsters you’ve laid to waste? Casualties of war, yes? They had parents you know. Possibly children. That didn’t occur to you though did it? It has never occurred to you. From the war you inadvertently started to this quest of yours you blindly pursue.. Who are you to question my benevolence when I am perhaps the most benevolent of all? Or so you would define in your limited definition. I see it as a scale more related with madness. It’s really those who see themselves as benevolent in the beginning that become the tyrants. But you’re not a tyrant… Yet. Perhaps one day you’ll understand. Or maybe you won’t. Perhaps I’m just absolutely insane from the fact I’ve not a clue who I am anymore. Or perhaps I never was. I could riddle all day, hahaha! But I have things I have to go not do, so I’ll bid you farewell for now. I’ll be watching though.”
“I do love irony… It’s so complicated and coincidental. Savvy?”
"Why would I stop you? Well... You tell me, why would I? What reasoning could I possibly have for stopping you from seeing the thing that could turn this entire country backwards? Perhaps I want it. Maybe I'm it's guard-No! Ooh! It killed my family, so I never want to see it used again, that's savvy isn't it? You want a straight answer? Well what if there isn't one? What if I don't want you to see it... simply because, savvy? Does that make me a villain? I've always wanted to be a villain."
I wanted to go ahead and try doing the full range for my vocal audition. So that's what this is. :) Hopefully it's interesting to say the least, haha.
