The ‘exterminator’ is an inexperienced young man (18-20 years), new on the job. He’s going door to door talking about his company’s pest extermination service. He’s quite nervous but determined to start the job on a good note. When the first homeowner reveals she owns a rat as a pet (sitting on her shoulder as she answers the door) the exterminator becomes an anxious wreck trying to hide the fact that he’s actually an exterminator.
