Ren is somewhat of an insecure person, not believing his talent is really 'SHSL Standard'. He works really hard to feel accepted among his peers and is very kind and generous to them. He believes in the healing power of cake strongly, and is extremely genuine in how he tries to look out for people. He thinks everyone can change and become a special person. He learnt to bake at his family restaurant, which was going downhill and ruining things for his family - however his skills managed to save the failing business and return his families life to them.
