King Kong: The Eighth Wonder of the World
Nala15 for Anne Darrow
A young journalist who boards the USS Venture on behalf of the Royal Geographical Society to take record of the expedition. A young, no-nonsense, headstrong woman with a heavy English accent who has a large amount of curiosity and awe. However she soon develops a sense of dread and paranoia as her experiences on Skull island and afterward continue on.
You wouldn’t be the first. Father’s tried to keep me distant from the Society’s matters since I was a girl. Felt it wasn’t proper for a lady to hold such interests. I had to enter journalism school under my mother's maiden name to keep him from finding out. Now he’s giving me a chance to prove myself by covering the expedition.
Well, I am very sorry to disappoint you, but I do intend to continue my job, as a reporter, to record everything that happens on this voyage, whether you like it or not! So, what do you say, Mr. Driscoll, should we both try to do our jobs effectively and without interruption?
I just came here to apologize. You were right, I was trying to get some kind of story out of you, but it was only because I felt that, whatever you might have experienced in your life, then perhaps, it could be something I could relate to.
Not bad at all, but your English accent could use some work.
Thanks! And don't I know it. Like I said, I'm NOT 100% confident in it. LOL Frankly, I think it's terrible, especially in the first two lines. I'll have to get some serious practice in.
