About Nala15

I'm a freelance artist, mostly in illustration and character/creature design. I dabble in voice work and have been doing that since 2020. Check out my YouTube to hear what I sound like until I can get a sample track uploaded here. :)

Pricing

- Voice Acting -

  • Short projects: $0.15 a word, rounded down to the nearest “zero” word(s).
[e.g. If a project has 238 total words of narration or dialogue for me, I round it down to 230 words.]
  • Longer projects/videos (e.g. audiobook): price varies by total number of standard-size pages I’m reading and/or role(s) per project
Example cost: $5 per page / per every 300 words. (Page = US standard paper size; size 10 - 12 font; 1in. margins; single-spaced)
[e.g. It will be a different cost if I’m reading only for certain characters vs if I’m reading every word in the manuscript.]

- Writing / Editing / Proofreading -

  • Story Editing or Proofreading | $5 or $10 per chapter
  • Details: At or close to ~1000 words is $5 per chapter or story or script with this length. (This rate may also apply to proofreading only for stories longer than this. See below.)
Over 1000 words is $10* per chapter, or per every 6 pages (US standard paper size; with size 10 - 12 font; single-spaced) if the story/script is not divided into chapters or if chapters are excessively long.

What I will edit/proofread*: Short stories, comic scripts, novellas (under or at ~10,000 words), fan fiction, original works, crossover works

*I will edit/proofread a novel (10K+ words) only after discussing your idea and the manuscript with you. Pricing will vary and may depend on the content, genre, intended/target audience, and other factors. I won’t edit a novel I wouldn’t enjoy reading myself, so I will do my best to bring passion to the project, knowing it’s your baby, and give it the care it deserves.

What I won’t edit/proofread:

I prefer to avoid projects that are overly or graphically violent, sexual, or contain otherwise “mature themes” as the main focus of the work. Having these elements in a story is perfectly okay for what I may choose to work with you on, but these topics at length or in hyper detail or as the primary focus are not ones that I enjoy working on and so I may not be the best fit for your project. (Some examples of movies or books that fit stuff I won’t work on: 50 Shades of Gray, Terrifier series, Saw)

I will absolutely not work on any project that holds hate speech, bigotry, racism, or other atrocities and/or crimes against humanity in a positive or glorified light. Again, elements of these things in the work are absolutely fine so long as they are shown to be bad things or that the story/world makes it clear that these are understood to be bad things. I don’t expect all characters to be perfect saints and in fact I welcome a story with a flawed, awful person who changes their evil ways or is brought to their downfall by their selfish choices.

What Nala15 is looking for

I'm open to pretty much any project. I have experience with voice acting and narrating my own videos on my YouTube channel (since 2020), and I have also made cameos in other YT videos. I have 20+ years of experience with writing fiction and editing/proofreading. My favorite thing to write is character dialogue.
