Short Fuse based on the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic TV series. This story takes place during season 8. The season acts as a backdrop or is notably changed throughout the chapters. Parts of this arc take place during the Washouts episode.

Short Fuse's role is almost the same as in The Washouts episode. The context of him introducing himself to Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo is slightly altered to cut the part about him and Rolling Thunder laughing and downplaying Rainbow Dash being a Wonderbolt since Rainbow doesn't get the opportunity to announce it. Lightning Dust shows up earlier in the scene.

This chapter is the only one where Short Fuse has any dialogue in the entire story, and the audition lines are the sum of his part entirely.
