Zombie game VA needed!
Project Overview
!! this game concept is in a highly experimental phase right now! Whoever's voice is chosen has the potential to truly define the final design/personality of this character, so we're considering a wide range of vocal backgrounds. The character was originally imagined to be male, but we're open to reconsidering !!

This game will be a psychological horror game about a tired, everyday survivor whose mind and body are breaking down. His hyperactive dog "Bongo" (name still undecided) is an imaginary anxiety hallucination made to help him cope. The character himself deals with anxiety/panic attacks, auditory hallucinations and narcolepsy.
I'm looking for an unpolished, natural sounding voice. Someone who can make a character sound stressed/panicked without overdoing it. Something subtle at first. He uses short, dismissive lines to hide his weakness, hushed irritation with his dog, and occasionally has panic attacks. He also has narcoleptic exhaustion. No loud, theatrical "action hero" delivery. This guy is a total mess, haha.
In the game, you follow along his story as you help coax him through tough decisions, have his dog sooze his paranoia and scout for danger, and eventually meet a group that changes the trajectory of his life forever. You are his voice of reason.
This character, their voice, and their gender is still being decided. We are at a highly experimental stage of this project. Your voice has the potential to set the vibe for the entire game.
This character is trauma-driven. They use aggression or snark remarks to mask their underlying fear, anxiety and pain. They're paranoid, narcoleptic, and they make bad choices. They are not a polished hero or heroine - he or she is a realistic, starving survivor. Panic attacks are known territory, and coping mechanics even more so. Despite all odds, this character wants to survive.
Not for any goal, not for peace, but out of pure stubbornness and cowardice. This character is accompanied by a dog (Bongo - name still being decided) and because of this, he or she decides to stick around as they both find quiet places to try and rest in.
Don't touch me. Don't you FUCKING touch me!
Bongo, buddy, quit pacing back and forth; you're making my head spin....
(Fighting an anxiety attack) No, no, no... come on. It's just air. Expand your ribs... breathe in...
