Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS Abridged

Project Overview

So imagine what Little Kuriboh did with Yu-Gi-Oh!, what ShadyVox/DragonHat did with YGOGXTAS and so on, that's what this is, but with the new VRAINS show. I'm looking for a full cast and will set up auditions per episode as new characters show up, possibly asking people who aren't cast to take a role in the future.


Share this with them friends you got so this can be as good as possible! Also, multiple auditions for more than one character are fine as long as they sound different from the other ones.

Personally, I will take the role of Yusaku's kebab truck friend instead of Yusaku himself since I have other things I need to do daily apart from this.

The upload channel for this isn't ironed out yet but that should be done in due time. This will hopefully go through the full show and not get boned like some of the other abridges out there. I don't have much else to say so have fun and good luck auditioning!

  • Deadline pushed back to almost a month

    The deadline for YGOVTAS has been pushed back nearly a full month due to not only lacking in finding an actor I feel can voice key characters well, but also with me being heavily involved in the production of another abridge show appearing on CCC soon, possibly later today. I will be handling casting for said show and it shouldn't take long at all as the first season is the only one released and it's incredibly short. If you have any issues or questions please message me directly.

    Feel free to re-audition if I've rejected you. Hearing different versions would be a pleasure, as you may have the 'perfect' voice for it and just didn't bust it out for the audition.

  • Audition sifting

    I've sifted through some of the auditions, rejecting those I can 100% say I don't want/don't fit the character. Ignis has been cast as well, no one auditioned for the role in nearly a month and I feel no one will do better than our sole auditionee.

Borderline emo who doesn't like standing out and is often compared to Batman if he fell into someone's pot of paint head first. Constantly tries to keep up his 'bad boy' image, even though everyone thinks it's a way for him to hide that he's gay.


This character is character needs to sound dark and edgy, but not all stupid like Bale's Batman. I think along the lines of the Yusei VA from the BBT Abridged movie, maybe a little deeper.

Ignis is the little AI friend Yusaku gets in Episode 1. It'll be a main source of comedy so I need someone who can pull that off really well and not sound stupid. Also, a voice changer would be good since he's an AI, not a person.

A very nice and bubbly over-coat, Aoi is a very dark and sadistic person when dueling and joking around. 


For a voice, I need someone who can go up high to reach the basic nice girl anime voice but also go low to pull off the sadistic stuff

Revolver

Revolver is the main antagonist (for now) of the series, usually calm and collected, he's very knowledgeable. His main goal, for now, is to capture the Ignis AI.


Give him a more neutral voice or a strong southern one. I imagine his using one or the other for some reason, no idea why though.
