Hello there! I'm Marleena, a performer and video diary keeper, and i’m building a cozy little corner of youtube that’s basically a creative scrapbook and hangout spot all at once. 🫶🏾
the channel will follow my life as a writer, actor, and creative who somehow always has a new project, story, audition, trip, idea, or minor crisis happening lol.
I have put a LOT of details here so it would mean a lot to me if you read this, just so you know what type of project this is!
☕ THE CONTENT
the channel will be a mix of:
cozy vlogs
day-in-the-life stuff, getting ready, errands, travel, creative days, and romanticizing the little things
🗣️ storytimes + commentary
funny stories, life updates, random thoughts, lessons learned, and things i simply need to talk about
🎭 creative life
acting, theatre, writing, content creation, behind-the-scenes moments, auditions, projects, and figuring out what comes next
📸 camera-roll moments
phone footage, photos, voiceovers, screenshots, random clips, and those tiny moments that somehow end up being the best part of the video
✨ THE VIBE
i want the videos to feel cozy, funny, personal, cinematic, and a little chaotic.
one of my biggest inspirations is Justine’s Camera Roll, especially that feeling of watching someone’s life and feeling like you’re hanging out with them rather than watching a super-produced influencer video.
i also love the Markiplier + Lixian dynamic, specifically how the editor eventually becomes part of the personality of the channel.
so while this is a video editing role, i’d love for the person behind the edits to eventually become part of the little world we’re building.
🎨 THE BIGGER IDEA
this is a growing channel, so we get to figure out what it becomes.
i’d love to develop little recurring jokes, visual bits, an intro/outro, specific editing quirks, maybe an editor persona, and other things.
i have the ideas and the footage, but i’m looking for someone who wants to bring their own creativity to the table too.
i’m not looking for everything to be perfectly polished. i want it to feel alive, and like there are actual people behind it.
📹 WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING WITH
i’ll provide raw footage, talking-head footage, phone clips, photos, screenshots, voiceovers, and whatever else i manage to collect along the way.
I also have a thing of sending voice memos to talk out bits I want in the videos. Very much, "editor!" except I want to use your name (or user name if you're comfy with that) for you to inject your lore in the videos too.
i also have older videos on my channel that i can share so you can get a feel for my personality and how i naturally talk on camera.
- https://www.youtube.com/@marleenawrites - me, please be nice, it's old and must be updated.
the videos will vary, so some might be a super cozy vlog and others might be me sitting in front of a camera telling you about the most ridiculous thing that happened to me last week. 😭
💌 WHO THIS IS FOR
i’d especially love to hear from editors who actually like youtube, have a sense of humor, enjoy personality-driven content, and want to have some creative ownership over the edit.
you don't need to already have the exact style i'm describing. honestly, show me what you like making.
if you’ve made a cool intro, outro, funny editor bit, animation, recurring joke, thumbnail, or anything else that shows off your brain, please include it.
I love purple, and that scrapbook feel is very important to me, but i also love the typical vlog sounds, like typing, beeps and boops, those haptics that make the itch in your brain just right.
💰 BUDGET
this is a paid project, but i’m an independent creator building from the ground up, so i have a limited budget.
please include your rates with your submission. i’d rather know what you actually charge and figure out if we’re a good fit than waste anyone’s time!
Thanks again and I TRULY NEED YOUR HELP.
to apply, please include:
