WWWdot (Working Title) - Short Film
Project Overview
This is a short film about a young woman who gets caught up in a disturbing internet secret right before the internet gets shut down forever. It will just involve one actual actor but will require some small moments of voice acting for when she's browsing sights and we are seeing montage of her reaction to things getting more and more disturbing.

The MC gets a random creepy video call from someone, we don't see the face just an icon but the overall tone needs to be unsettling. Voice needs to be younger sounding and be calm sounding with a slight edge that will creep the viewer out then he needs to escalate to yelling and sounding more manic. This forces the MC to close the call. Needs to start off very matter of fact like someone making a statement then escalate.

Something you think fits this character
Pretty self explanatory, need someone who can deliver a horror movie type scream. This will be framed as though the MC is watching it on a video but we only see the reaction to it.

Scream transition into a laugh
This is your chance to unsettle me! Will be a similar situation to the scream brief. We are seeing a montage of the MC finding disturbing things. This will just be 1 or 2 lines of poetry/unsettling dialogue (i.e They're taking my skin).

This will be heard early in on the film as though it's playing the background. Just a bit of exposition to give the audience a hint at what's happening. May be written in for another scene later on to be in a more unsettling scene later on.

And so tomorrow is the date of the "Big Shutdown" as it's being called. The worldwide ban on the internet follows an increase in cyber attacks and hate speech. The public are being advised to download important information.
Many companies are already preparing to make the switch from websites to magazines and online stores.
