Project Overview
— While this project is currently not monetized, hopefully in the future this will be possible. This will be a series, and if you don’t get a role in the pilot, you may get one in the future installments. —
Welcome to Wickwood Mythical Academy. The school for magic is open for business once more. Except for the fact that this year, they’ve made a few changes. They’ve hired the first human teacher, and are opening the classes to 4 human students— the second wave of human students EVER.
Follow Ayken’s class of 10 as they get roped into a chaotic adventure full of love, hate, and magic, all while on the brink of war.
This casting call is for the PILOT episode - the very first! Since we’re just starting off on YouTube, we don’t have any money to pay voice actors yet, but in the future, this could become a paid cast.

We updated the audition lines a bit to allow for a better read on the cast, so if you'd like to reaudition you're more than welcome to. If you don't want to, we won't be holding any bias, so it's alright if your audition has the older lines or improv.

Devon B
Caelum is an 18-year-old antisocial teenager, characterized by his resting scowl and pessimistic nature. Life has caused him to grow a hardened exterior and keep people away. He processes things through anger and frustration, mostly, and has a lot of self-hatred. He's one of the new human students, the nephew of one from the original class.
Despite his attitude, he does not speak in a pitch that is too low. He has a hint of a southern drawl that he tries to hide. When he's not angry he's quiet, but not shy. He has a soft side towards animals.
(Awkward) "Well, if you want to avoid the crowd like me, you're free to stick around."
(Snippy) "So, let me get this straight. You walked up to this dude you don't even know, started insulting his friend and his old school to his fucking face, and then had the audacity to throw him across the room when he stood up to you? That is some unbelievably small dick energy."
(Genuine, but awkward) "Yeah, uh. My uncle was a pretty chill dude. He helped me out when no one else gave a shit, so. Y'know. There's that."

Dorian Valentine
Clara is an 18-year-old water elemental. Similar to Liam, she is a bit reckless, but she also has a keen eye for knowledge and is extremely intelligent. She is excitable and curious and is extremely intrigued by humankind. A fan of the oddities and outcasts, she finds solace in their company.
Clara speaks with an English/British accent and enunciates clearly despite speaking quickly.
(Excited) "Can you believe it? We're walking in the same halls that the first human students of Wickwood walked in.
(Quickly, nervous) "He's mine!! Don't throw him in the fountain, he'll get scared."
(A bit hyper, focused.) "Oh, there was a huge incident with the first human students. I don't know all of the details, though I've been pouring over it for ages. Something about a beastkind dragon? The school covered it up really well. Oh- uh, a beastkind dragon is like a normal dragon, but it doesn't have a human form."

Liam is an 18-year-old male. He is relaxed and reckless, more of the "act first, ask questions later" type. He likes to make jokes and is a pretty chill dude. He has lived in a city on lockdown due to terrible pollution his whole life, so he has seen no real animals up until around now. He is a monster slayer and a skater boy.
Liam should have a chill and calm voice. It is neither extremely deep nor extremely high-pitched. He rambles and is long-winded. He also tends to replace swear words with foods.
(Joking) "Thanks for dropping in, the hat rack is to the left. Can I take your coat? Hi. I'm Liam."
(Serious, but lighthearted) "A little roughing up never hurt anybody. Unless it's a roughing up by a Netteran Boneback. One time I saw one down the street and it nearly pummeled a cop! He tried to kill it but he forgot to shed the thing, and it came back as a skeleton and set him on fire. It wasn't fun to watch." (awkward laugh)
(Serious) "I just wanted to know if she was here."

Dragontrove
Draco is a 19-year-old nonbinary student at Wickwood Mythical Academy, who stands at about 6'2" with a lanky build. Their species is dragon, but they disguise themself as a tiefling by wrapping their tail around their waist and covering their muzzle with a mask. They are timid, however fairly friendly, and tend to shy away from a fight unless they are forced to fight. When they become closer with people, they prove to be rather kind, and gets along well with other people, despite always wanting to follow instead of lead.
The voice should be a soft, male aligned voice, with a noticeable, consistent stutter. This stutter only becomes worse when they are anxious. An American accent is fine, but Scottish is also preferable. It's up for the VA's interpretation, generally.
(Nervous, Hesitant:) You...y-you, you really think we, could...? Be friends..? Uhm...if... if you'd like to...I... w-wouldn't mind, having a friend...you'd, y-you'd be my... first...
(Confused, timid) Can...can I, uh...ask. Wh... what's a... phone..?
"I-I usually, wear a mask, over my mouth, so I feel,, m-more comfortable...but,, with the ball, I-I felt like I could, g-go without...."

Relic is an 18-year-old nonbinary. He is very kind and considerate, and always wants to hear every side of the story. They're not afraid to take their own stand on things, but can be shy at times. He is extremely curious, and confident in his knowledge and common sense, though he is frightened he is wrong. He is fairly bold but is certainly on the soft side, and cares about the people he interacts with.
His voice is smooth and soft. Think...slightly deeper than Cavetown, but Cavetown.
(Softly) "...Are you okay? It's okay if you aren't..."
(Kindly) "Hello. I'm Relic. What's your name? Pronouns?"
(Distraught, but focused) "... Thank you. Do I have to stay in pain for my passions? I just want to be accepted. I want everyone to be accepted. Will that happen? Will I be able to help? I want to make a change."

Sock is a presumed 20-year-old male uilae with a lot of spunk. Despite his past, he's outgoing and energetic, always looking on the positive side of things. At the same time, he's incredibly compassionate and cares immensely for even the most unfamiliar of strangers. Unfortunately, because of this, he's also rather oblivious and often too optimistic for his own good, but that hasn't stopped him from being who he truly is.
His voice is particularly soft, but he is still able to be heard clearly and can show a lot of enthusiasm. He may have an accent of any type, but it would not be very prominent.
"Hey! It's so great to meet you! I can't wait to get to know you better."
(excited) "This is gonna be so sick! Oh, gosh, I'm so excited! I think I'm gonna throw up."
For your last auditioned line, I want you to ramble about pop-tarts for as long as you can. I know it's weird. It's very important. Get passionate.

Bliss
Azure is a 19-year-old boy and is one of the four human students enrolled in Wickwood. He is empathetic and anxious, often shying away from other people (mostly humans) but he gets very lively and excited when speaking about his passions such as magic/magical creatures.
His voice is soft/quiet and hesitant most of the time. He should come across as nervous but friendly.
(Awestruck) "Woah...Look at this!!"
"Nice to meet you. I'm Or--...I mean...I'm Azure."
(Passionate) "Just...look at this place-! It's just...so fascinating! All of these wonderful people and magic folk and everyone together, learning and existing for the sake of magic!! It's so- so... wonderful. I can't believe I'm here. I can't believe I have this opportunity."

Puppet (or Paisley) is an 18-year-old and one of the next four human students at Wickwood Academy. She is anxious and can come off as a little terse, but overall has a good heart. Puppet is colorblind and an artist. She is a little paranoid, but mostly due to her past.
(Quickly) “Go go go go go!”
(Anxious, but curious) “What...is that thing? I’ve never seen anything like that before. It looks like a living ball of water...”
(Awkward) "...I've never done anything with magic before. Not- Not that I haven't been accustomed to magic folk before, there's tons of them where I live- I just haven't...had the opportunity? It's hard when you're human. Not a lot of openings."

Cobalt is an 18-year-old dragon. He is a little socially awkward and would much prefer to be left alone. He’s part of a group of troublemakers, but he would really much prefer the company of himself.
Talks in a whispery sort of voice. A bit skittish.
(Nervous) “Nonono! It’s okay- I didn’t- think anyone would be here. I can leave, if you need...”
(Shy) “...Maybe if you get a phone...I can give you my number?”
(Quiet, unsure.) "...I...don't think I'm a good person. I don't hang out with...the best people. I don't make a lot of good choices. I- I kind of just want to graduate and then get out of here. My grades got me in, but...I'm so tired of my brother's friends..." (a beat.) "W-wait, I'm so sorry, I didn't realize I was rambling..."

Fleur is an 18-year-old skeleton. She loves animals and is kind-hearted towards strangers even if she barely knows how to talk to them without coming on too strong. Almost puppy like in demeanor, it makes sense she was raised by dog shapeshifters.
Fleur can have voice affects like echoes applied if you’d like, but her voice HAS to be heard clearly.
(Soft laugh) “Oh, don’t worry. I prefer animals over people anyway.”
(Worried) “Hey, are you okay?”
(Lighthearted) "My SP was so in love with animals. It only makes sense that I am too! I like dogs a lot, too. They're so friendly and cheerful, all the time! And so doofy, too. I really like them."
