Whispers from the Void is an eldritch horror podcast set in modern day Houston, Texas. It revolves around a pair of friends Richard and Jason, who uncover a cult within the city dedicated to bring about the reign of their elder god. The story follows their journey to uncover the truth being the cult, trying to stop them and their descent into madness.
My co-writer and I are going playing the main two, and we need some voices to help round out the show! Currently have the first episode, a couple of teaser written and are working on episode two. We would love some help bringing the show to life!
Requirements:::
18+ - the show is going to deal with death, strong language, and other fun themes of that nature. So, that being said, we would like someone 18 or over.
Microphone quality - no background noise, clear voice
No editing - other than taking our background noise, we do not want any editing done to your takes.
2-3 takes, if you have lines for your character

Thank so much for all the auditions so far. We are still searching for the right voices here and there. I have put together the list of characters we have still available with a little bit about their voice profile, as well as some insight of them/why there are here on the show itself.
For those wondering, these characters, while not all used in every episode of the Fiction Channel, are integral to our main duo learning about the creepy and weird things happening just beyond the realm of the believable.
The show itself is used for a lot of trailers, plan interludes for the show, and to help inform the protagonists, as this is the favorite show of one of them.

Host of the in-world YouTube Channel: Cryptic Chronicles. He is a man in his mind 30s-early 40s, and has been researching things of Lovecraftian nature. He has made a living off making show on YouTube where he does deep dives on cults, and ancient societies in nobles in the ties to the Eldritch.
This is reoccurring role, as one the main characters is a fan of the show and uses it for research.

Today, we delve into the shadows cast by the infamous Necronomicon, the Book of the Dead, and its enigmatic author, Abdul Alhazred
The Necronomicon speaks of places where the sky is wrong, where stars whisper in a language of madness. These are not mere stories or fables but testimonies of a terrifying reality that exists parallel to our own.
And what of the Necronomicon itself? This tome of terror, said to be bound in human skin and written in blood, remains an object of dark fascination. Its pages are filled with cryptic symbols and spells that can unravel the fabric of reality itself.
Another set of reoccurring characters. They are an expert in the field their respective studies of psychology: Clinical Psychology as it pertains to abnormal psychology, Cultural Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Social Psychology, Religious Studies Scholar with Psychological background, Mythology/Folklore Expert, Psychoanalyst with an interest in Carl Jung's Theories and a Cognitive Psychologist. I'll be posting a separate casting for the Religious Scholar, Mythology Expert, and the Psychoanalyst as I see them being a bit off rather than the rest.
As for the rest they are to be here. They are what you would expect when it comes to a psychological expert: Profession yet conversational, articulate being clear and precise.
The human mind is ill-equipped to face the vast, indifferent universe Alhazred describes. His descent into madness was not a fall but perhaps an awakening, a realization of the inconsequential place humanity holds in the cosmos.
The secrecy and the shared purpose of these rituals likely intensified the bond between members, creating a tightly knit community. The storage facility became more than just a meeting place; it was a sanctuary, a hidden temple to their otherworldly patron.

Nuanced tone, touch of intrigue. Crisp and clear, with an undercut of passion or fervor for the subject matter.
Alhazred's journey into the heart of darkness began with a quest for knowledge, a thirst for the forbidden. But what he found was beyond the realms of human understanding. The Necronomicon is not just a book; it's a gateway, a map to realms that mortals were never meant to tread.
These adherents of the dark arts believe that by summoning these cosmic entities, they can attain ultimate knowledge and power. But they fail to realize the price of such ambition. To gaze into the abyss is to invite the abyss to gaze into you.
