Project Overview
SUMMARY -
Whimsinoia is a silly, unhinged slice of life about 15 people who live together in a comically large house with dozens of rooms and liminal locations! There is no structure, no rules, only nonsense. No way out, and no way in. (or so we think…)
Mr. Meow Meow owns the labyrinth of a house, and ‘takes care’ of everyone, alongside his loyal assistant Shrimp.
The show mainly follows Lola as she struggles with her tiring life, having to deal with people who don’t like her and absurd events that transpire every day.
The cast is very large, but not every character shows up in every episode!
IMPORTANT NOTES -
Episodes are 3-4 minutes long!!
The pay is 3 dollars per line.
I won’t be accepting anyone under 18!
You can audition for more than one character and have more than one role.
If you are applying to have more than one role, please specify that in your submission!

Lola is a person full of anxiety and stress, she strongly dislikes everyone (except for Professor Angel). She doesn’t even trust the ones who are kind to her, just in case they’re cruel like everyone else.
She is not against violence and will jump to it if she gets bothered. She can also be an incredibly frightening person if pushed too far.
In reality, she can be very sweet when not stressed out of her mind, and just needs to catch a break!!

(Happy) Oh, thank you so much! I can always count on you!
(Angry) You think this is funny? Do you?! I’ll tear you apart!
(Annoyed) I just want to be left alone! Is that so much to ask for in this wretched place?
Froggy tries hard to stay positive and kind to everyone in the house. In his attempts to get on everyone's good side, he ends up getting on their bad side because in their eyes: “He’s too nice. It’s actually really annoying.”
In the end, he wants everyone to be happy.
VOICE NOTE -
Not a high nor deep voice, somewhere in between!!
(Nervous) How about we all just calm down and talk this out? Violence is never the answer- (scared) Okay okay okay! (sad) I’ll- I’ll shut up.
(Kind) Do you need me to help you carry all this stuff? I can get it to your room ASAP!
(Supportive) I believe in you! You can do anything if you put your mind to it!
Sunny is an incredibly money-hungry businesswoman. Everything she does revolves around profit, and she hasn’t had a day in her life where she hasn’t thought about money.
She’s cruel and mean, she likes to taunt and mock people, she has no sympathy for anyone. She knows she’ll be the most successful person on earth, and everyone will be beneath her!
VOICE NOTE -
She should have a deeper voice! I do not picture her having a high voice.
(Stern) You’re being really annoying. Go back to your stupid little room and don’t go pissing me off, capiche?
LINE 2 - (Whining) Whaaaat? Just help a girl out with her money problems! I’ll give you, like, a penny in return or something.
LINE 3 - (Devious) Oh, yes.. I think I can make good money out of you. Don’t worry, I’ll give you a cut of the profits… Just kidding! As if I’d share anything with you! Gross!
He does not like anyone (except for Lola), but happens to be the most patient person with everyone. He teaches a class of Unspeakable Horrors everyday, and knows how to deal with the worst kinds of people.
He’s quiet and is very composed most of the time, although some people know how to get under his skin.
VOICE NOTE -
He should have a deeper voice!! But not incredibly deep, just a bit above average
(Tired) No, I can’t help you with that. I am busy with my class.
(Thoughtful) I suppose I could show you how to create a nuclear bomb… It’s quite easy, once you do it a few times.
(Annoyed) I think you know exactly what you did wrong. You did this on purpose just to bother me!
The owner of the house! He manages the whole place! He is nice to everyone, but there is a sinister edge to everything he does. Most people are nervous around him, since he can be unpredictable at times. He’s very theatrical as well with how he acts!!
VOICE NOTE -
Mr. Meow Meow has a deep and booming voice!!
(Cheerful) Let’s have an eventful, interesting day! I’ve actually planned a whimsical activity for all of you to do. (Suddenly Serious) You are required to join. (Cheerful again) Have fun!
(Annoyed) Well. I don’t think anyone asked you for your opinion, professor. But, (sigh) I suppose you have a point…
(On the edge of snapping) I can assure you, you’re not the one in control here. So don’t go pushing the limits on what you can do.
A silly goose who wants whimsy and joy! She owns the central location of the house, a huge playplace! And she wants everyone to have fun there! But if they win at any of her games at the playplace, she will get mad. No one is allowed to be better than her.
She acts goofy most of the time, but definitely has a darker side to her.

(Grumpy) Well… I suppose you win this round. If the others said you won fair and square, so be it.
(Excited) You can do all sorts of things here! You can play in the ballpit, go down slides, and ride on the swing! Isn’t that fun?
Very pompous and formal! He thinks he’s the smartest out of everyone where they live, and believes everyone is an idiot. He’s very fancy and does his best to act polite, but everyone tends to get on his nerves.

(Curt) How disrespectful… interrupting me during my meal!
(Stern) You know full well you’re not welcome in my room. I was having a wonderful day until you came along!
(Tired) It’s difficult talking to them. Sometimes I wonder why they became such cruel people.
Lovely acts kind to everyone, sometimes being overly nice to the point where it feels fake. She loves gossip and drama, and sometimes is the cause of it.
She’s also a big fan of romance, and likes to guess which people are in relationships in the house.
VOICE NOTE -

(Overly Friendly) I was just trying to help, because that’s what friends do! We’re friends, aren’t we?
(Polite) I see. Well, continue on! I hope your silly adventure works out.
(Trying to hide bitterness) No, that’s totally fine. I’m sure she had her reasons for doing all of that!
Pepper is quiet and calm, keeping to herself and her own room. She doesn’t bother anyone, mostly because everyone is mildly unsettled by her. She’s actually very nice, but is not exactly safe to be around, since she’s unpredictable.

(Quiet) Would you like to join me for dinner in The Meat Room? I prepared a lovely meal.
(Small chuckle) I’m glad you like what I’ve done with the place. I worked hard on it.
(Sad) I had no idea she scared you like that. I’ll tell her to be nice the next time you come around.
A sweet alien!! She lives in space, and likes to throw parties and have fun!! She’s well-liked amongst everyone, minding her business and being a wonderful person overall. She’s scared of a few people (Sunny…) but still acts nice to them in order to stay friends.

(Happy) I’m throwing a party, and everyone’s invited! Make sure to bring lots of cool stuff from your rooms, I want this to be the best party ever!
(Nervous, trying to act normal) Oh, I didn’t see you there! I was just- preparing something! Something silly and fun…
(Excited) This is going to be a wonderful day! I promise, I’ll make sure everything goes well!
She’s very strict and serious and takes her job seriously. Despite being a doctor and wanting to take care of people, she’s not known for a nurturing personality. She’s very uncaring and doesn’t treat anyone with kindness.

(Bothered) I see. You got your head cut off again. It’s fascinating how many times this has happened to you.
(Firm and serious) Hold still. I can’t patch you up when you struggle.
(Sigh, tired) I can’t believe it. You’re moping. After everything I’ve done for you?
He’s a master at creating life, and makes little critters to roam around his room! He acts polite and nice to everyone outside of his room, but he’s secretly a mad scientist that performs unethical experiments. His true nature is very cruel and easily irritable.

(Calm) I’d like to thank you for being my friend. I can always count on you to help me.
(Irritated) I hope you know the more you anger me.. the more painful I’ll make this process.
(Unhinged) I’ve brought you all to life, cared for you, taught you everything, and you repay me like this? (Laugh) I can very easily destroy you if I wanted to!
Easily irritable, in a constant state of mild frustration. He’s pushed to his limit everyday by slight inconveniences, and is usually calmed down by his friend Cookie. He likes having control over situations, and if he doesn’t he freaks out.
VOICE NOTE -

(Mad) You can’t just bring your own food onto my plane! That’s incredibly rude! I can provide you with all the food.
(Grumpy and Annoyed) It’s not my fault he was being annoying… I was just putting him in his place!
(Exhausted) Sometimes it feels like people just don’t respect me. I don’t know what to do about it…
Cookie is one of the most mature ones in the house, not getting into any trouble because she knows how to stay out of it. She takes care of Nimbus (she’s the sun on his head!) and knows how to calm him down when he gets stressed.
She de-escalates most situations, and almost acts as a peace-keeper.
VOICE NOTE -

(Soothing) Calm down, everything will be okay! Let’s just take a step back from all of this.
(Caring) I see you’re having another difficult day with the others. Would you like to talk about it?
(Playful) With that sort of attitude, you’re not gonna get anything done! I’ll help you out, so this doesn’t take years like last time.
