Project Overview

// EDIT: Switched to english only, as it got confusing for talents to apply in both languages and makes it harder, to unify the project. 


This will be a private project for a friend group, celebrating our 10 year anniversary. 

I decided to make something special out of it and this will be an Audio Youtube riddle.

Each time someone aquires new knowledge, there will be a new youtube link, linking to another secret video, so the people playing will be puzzling together a story. 

As this is a private project and won´t be monetized in any way and also not grow in popularity, since the videos will be private, there is no recognition for you to earn.

Therefore, to make up for lost potential growth, this will be a paid project. As this will be a rather short story and not many lines need to be delivered, the budget is set: 


- 5$ for each character, and 10$ for the narrating voice, since this person has the most lines. 

- 30$ for the artist, needing 10 pictures, in a very simple manner, no background, just character art.

    Guys, thank you so much for all these auditions! I never would have thought, that people would be interested this much in participating in a rather private project. I thank every single one of you for your auditions! If you did not get cast, that does not mean, that you weren´t good. Hell no. Most auditions were insanely good, I am very sad to only have the opportunity to cast so many of you. But I had to settle for the voices, I had planned for those characters. So again, a HUGE thank you for all participating people. I wish you the best of luck in other projects! For those who got cast: Welcome abort! The Narrator has the most lines and should have an angelic sound. you are free to use any programs to make yourself sound holy. Imagine yourself standing inside a church, with the echo of the big empty halls surrounding your voice.

  • Narrator: "But they were wrong...we needed you....more, than you will ever know"

Asu is an adult character in his mid twenties, with a medium - high male voice. 

He is a very cynical character, after both his parents and his sister died one after the other,  exactly 3 months apart from each other, every time. They died of heart disease (wink). 

He assumes, that this is not a coincidence  and is searching for the truth. While he is very eager to understand whats going on, it is eating him up inside. 


Generally I am looking for a voice, that has a sad, but energetic tone. As in his friend group, he pretends to be fine, while his anger and sadness eats him up inside. He is good at faking his emotional state. 

  • Asu (in a subtly sad tone, not being able to convince others, but trying): " I don´t know. I was always like that. I will find the cause. I will be fine, at the end...I will be... fine.. 

  • Asu (upset, either very aggressive or sad, I leave it up to you, I want to get inspired): "Ohhh...iT hApPeNEd oVEr a yeAR aGO?! JUST heart disease, right? I will be fine, right? 'UNFORTUNATE' YOU SAID, RIGHT?! ..... If you make another sound, I will burn you alive. 

  • Asu (hopeful): If it is not happy, it is not the end (smiles, while being hurt deep down). So let´s go grab a pizza! I am starving (still sad, not being able to convince anyone with his fake energy)

Naru is a goofy guy in his mid twenties also, with a medium to low voice. 

He is a very funny guy, that brightens the mood of people instantly. He is self concious though and tries to avoid situations, where he needs to show emotions.

  • Naru (funny, energetic): "Lets go this way, I swear I smelled chicken nuggets there!"

  • Naru (self concious, trying to avoid looking someone in the eye): "I know how you feel...I try to help him, but look at me...I´m a joke...."

  • Naru (narrating): I always wanted the attention, I just didn´t know, what else to do...so I started making jokes.

Kaysa is a calm guy, also in his mid twenties, with a medium light voice. 

He is a guy, that always tells those random jokes, which aren´t funny at all, and complete silence fills the room. 

Although his jokes are just the worst, he is very reliable in critical situations, calming everyone down, when it needs to be.

  • Kayza (convinced, he is funny as hell, but isn´t): "Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to your house!.....Nothing? Okay another one: Knock knock! (another character: "who´s there?") ... the chicken, that crossed the road!! (bursts out laughing at his own joke)

  • Kayza (calm, strategic approach, talking facts): "Shhh, listen: We have a rope, a lighter, 2 sets of chairs, a key. There is the door. Our handcuffs are made out of metal. Naru, can you get the chair closer to you? Asu, you are closest to the key, try to break free and help Samu. We don´t have much time. "

  • Kayza (narrating): Yes, it was the wrong decision to tell him that. But I believe in people...or so I thought.

A mid twenties male with a rather deep voice. He complains a lot about everything, but has his moments, where he shines.

  • Mori: Where is he? HE WAS HERE A MINUTE AGO. Don´t you listen, HE WAS HERE A MINUTE AGO. The door isn´t even open!

Samu has a medium-deep voice and is as goofy as Naru, while being a true friend. Even if he is clueless sometimes, he is always there for his close friends!

  • Samu(narrating): "All I wanted is to protect them... I couldn´t tell them, thats the way HE did it. I needed them to not know the truth..."
