A Star Wars Fan Audio Project – Vader, Rex, Revan, Mara Jade & More
Project Overview
This is a non-profit fan audio project connected to a YouTube video essay titled “What If I Was President of Lucasfilm?” The video lays out a fyear plan for Star Wars movies, shows, and specials, and includes several scripted cinematic audio sequences to bring the pitch to life.
We are seeking talented voice actors to portray both classic Star Wars characters and new original roles. These performances will be edited into the video alongside narration, music, and sound design to create dramatic, in-universe moments that help sell the pitch.

The Dark Lord of the Sith. His voice should capture James Earl Jones’ iconic presence — deep, resonant, commanding, filtered with mechanical breath. Tone must balance menace with cold control.

Anakin Skywalker is dead. I killed him. Just as I killed Kenobi. Just as I killed Tano. They all fell. And so will you.
Veteran clone trooper, now older and grizzled. Rex carries the weight of war on his shoulders but remains steadfast, loyal, and courageous. His voice should be similar to Dee Bradley Baker’s portrayal — deep, steady, seasoned, but still carrying warmth.

Young, idealistic Rebel hero — still the farm boy, but stepping into the role of leader. The voice should resemble Mark Hamill’s youthful tone in A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back: earnest, sincere, occasionally urgent.

Raised as Vader’s secret apprentice, Galen is powerful, conflicted, and volatile. His voice should resemble Sam Witwer’s Starkiller — intense, emotional, with flashes of vulnerability under the rage.

Once one of the youngest Inquisitors, Mara is cunning, ruthless, and calculating — but her loyalty is to the Emperor alone. The voice should be sharp, commanding, with a mix of elegance and underlying fury. I would cast Mara as Rose Leslie so try and sound close to her.

A maverick Jedi who survived Order 66, now older and hardened. Quinlan’s voice should carry grit and defiance, but also compassion. Deep but agile, slightly roguish.

A member of the Skywalker Order — the Force-using commune founded by Rey two centuries earlier. Charismatic, heroic, and decisive, Kael believes the Skywalkers’ power must be used to protect the galaxy. But his conviction pushes him into dangerous compromises, turning him from savior into would-be tyrant. In the theoretical live-action version, Kael is cast as Richard Madden (Game of Thrones Robb stark). For this audio project, we’re looking for a voice that captures that same balance of inspiration and intensity: fiery, commanding, passionate, but able to break with emotion.

Kael’s brother within the Skywalker Order. Principled, patient, and resolute, Jax embodies the ideals Rey intended the Skywalkers to live by: guardians of peace, not warriors. His voice should be calm, steady, and quietly passionate — able to stand firm against Kael’s fire with conviction and sorrow. In the planned live-action version, Jax is cast as Richard Rankin (Outlander, The Replacement). For this audio project, we want a voice with quiet strength: measured, resolute, carrying both warmth and steel. He’s the one in the grey coat sitting down.

We’re also looking for a visual artist to collaborate on this fan project! The role would involve creating one piece of artwork per major audio segment (about four total):
- Clone Wars–style Original Trilogy arc
- The Fall of the Inquisitors (Mara Jade & Starkiller)
- Knights of the Old Republic (Revan reveal)
- Star Wars: Fracture Legacy (Original Film)
This is a non-paid role, but you’ll receive full credit for your work, including:
- Your name/handle in the video credits
- A link to your portfolio, social media, or website in the description
- Permission to sign your artwork, which will be displayed on-screen
Style: Flexible! Could be Clone Wars–inspired, realistic concept art, or stylized poster-like pieces — as long as it feels cinematic and Star Wars–authentic.
This is a great opportunity to showcase your art to a Star Wars loving audience.
