WataTrap: A Watamote Parody
Project Overview
What IS WataTrap?: Simple. Its A parody of Watamote being created by GuiltyTree and IrregularFocus (aka Darkmoon487 on CCC), but instead of the main character (Tomoko) being a lady, she is a "trap". What do I mean by "trap"? I would ask you to look it up, but seeing feminine schlong might not be your thing . So in other words; its a dude who appears, dresses, and acts exactly like a lady. We're basing this more so on the internet joke, so the trap this case will "try" to get into sexual situations with his "victim". With that being said Tomoko's dream in this is to be a successful trap, with Tomoko being a little obsessive over the idea in itself, to the point that he "tries" to trap other dudes. But in all reality he is far too socially inept/nervous (similar to the show).
REQUIREMENTS:
-Mic: Can't be crap. Like most projects a Blue Yeti will do the job if handled correctly, but generally we ask that the mic quality be good, so no phone/tablets/headset/background noise/etc. Overall we prefer XLR/condenser mics.
-Casting: We will be casting based on ability and how well the voice fits the character, if you think you're crap but still wanna give it a shot, then we encourage you to do so.
-Auditions: 3-5 takes each line, we ask of you to try different inflections as well.
-Discord: Because Skype sucks in comparison
-During the project we will be live directing.
-This project will likely have a few "parts" or episodes to it, so be sure to be committed enough to fulfill that.

As stated in the project description, Tomoko's dream is to be a successful trap, with Tomoko being a little obsessive over the idea in itself, to the point that he "tries" to trap other dudes and get his "boy puss" smashed. In all reality he is far too socially inept/nervous to achieve this (similar to the show). This is version of the character is Tomoko's natural masculine voice, and he uses this voice when speaking casually/normally. On top of this Tomoko is an otaku, and similar to the show, he loves anime, visual novels, games, etc. This aspect of the personality is more so used for segments where Tomoko is doing something otaku related, like playing a visual novel, or talking about something related to the culture within a sentence. Tomoko is rather straight forward when using this voice as well, sometimes being blunt about his goals or current objective, as well as a being bit of an idiot, believing that being a trap will eventually make him a fair livelihood once he gets good enough at "trapping".
Most of the Time this voice is used when he is talking to his brother Tomoki and/or other family members. Tomoko never uses this voice outside his own house.
Male Voice Range: Mid-mid to low-mid.
“Because I need feedback on the voice, if that whole thing turned you on than I consider it a success."
(Happy/proud of brother) “You guessed it! Trapping! We both know that I aspire to be a full time trap!”
(Stumbling words, looking for a comeback)“Well I don’t exactly see you walking around with a chick now do I!? I’d say you’re, uh…, desperate for puss!”
This is the Female voice Tomoko is capable of doing. Tomoko typically uses this voice to deceive and/or tease people, often taking the quiet shy girl act in public to attempt to trap other guys. Not much more can be explained to this aspect of the character, as its basically a suppressed version of Tomoko.
Female Voice range: Mid-high to high-mid
(Calm, trying to charm/seduce) “All I do is sit at my desk and put on the whole shy girl act and they’ll fall in love with me immediately.”
(Cutesy) “Awww… is my brother turned on by phantom cock? Does lil’ bubby’s cock intrigue you that much…?”
("Yandere", excited) “Ohohoho, that's my victim!”
“I did it to better represent the voice of course!”
Tomoki is the brother of Tomoko, he is rather calm in the way he speaks, often tired of Tomoko's shit or just not in the mood to speak to him, though due to him being a bit passive he doesn't go out of his way to force Tomoko out of his room. Instead he ends up questioning Tomoko (for good reason), which instigates more conversation. More or less this character is somewhat modeled after his original character from the show, but made to work with the format we wrote.
We imagine the character speaks somewhat similar to how he does in the show, but other takes are always welcome. Who knows? You might even fit better than the original VA.
Male Voice Range: Mid-low to Mid-high
*Sigh* “Why do you waste your time with this?”
(Calm yet surprised) “I’m…..sadly surprised.”
(A bit weird-ed out) “Yeah, but you could‘ve just said some normal stuff, why all this weird stuff regarding trapping?”
