CAT TALES: INTO THE WOODS (DONT SUBMIT)
Project Overview
Due to recent things with Erin Hunter's issues with book-accurate stuff, the project is now a parody, but don't worry about me changing the characters or anything, mostly everything is gonna stay the same. the project was a parody in the first place, but certain things like lore, scenes and things like that WILL be changed.
1: I'm looking for people 16/18+! as more older people are more experienced with these projects. 2: This ISN'T a paid project. meaning all of the Voices, Music and etc you give me will NOT be paid for. this is a passion project and i'm just one person doing this out of the love for the books and fun. THIS IS A COMEDY FOCUSED PROJECT.
An Animated adaption of the beloved book, Warrior Cats: Into the Wild! Now Called "Cat Tales: Into The Wild" a comedy focused Animated Series. semi-rewritten and lore changes.
For those who don't know, the Warrior cats series is focused on the life of a kittypet named Rusty. he's the newly recruited Apprentice of Thunderclan. a dream he's been hoping for since he and his best friend, Smudge could remember. for all his life, becoming a Legendary Warrior is something Rusty reached for. to become something his kits, and other cats could look up to. but his journey is not so easy, as he has to avoid many dangers him and his friends get into.
Requirements:
Microphone HAS to be clear, no background noises at all. no any sort of "peaking" or "clipping". these roles are BIG and LOUD. they require lots of yelling and emotions, overreacting and such shown throughout. and that counts even for the more "deadpanned" characters, they have angry emotions. so if you cannot, and are not commit to these type of roles, please do not audition if you cannot proceed with the performance of interested roles.
a FEW NOTES: 1: I love this book, so i want roles to do justice. i'm not looking for "best in the business" actors, but i am looking for quality.
2: I'm accepting your own interpretations of the voices, but DO NOT stray so far away to that point where they don't even match the descriptions. also i'm allowing for you to add your own voice lines of any choice. also, retakes once i choose you are appreciated!
3: Discord/Any other messaging website isn't required, but IS recommended as it's easier for me to go and message you.
4: DO NOT SLATE YOUR AUDITIONS.

Role: Main Character
Age: 1 year old
Voice is High to medium-low. Loud, and confident. very scratchy and a bit feminine. like a kid who ate too many bags of gummies.
A curious 1 year-old tomcat. Lives with his owners, a dog and 8 other cats. Rusty is a energetic, loud and happy kittypet. he wants to live in the wild and become a 'Warrior Cat' that he has heard about from his friends. his friend "Smudge" is his best friend, always convincing him not to cause he might get hurt or worse.
(Annoyed, but not mad.) "That fat old tabby never went into the woods! he's hardly been able to stand-up ever since his trip to the vet.."
(kinda mad, but trying to sound nice about it.) Greypaw ate all of the prey! i haven't had anything to eat for hours, could you spare some mice for me? it's not like you need all that!
(sounds unsure at first, but gets excited at the end. like a kid getting candy.) They just warned me to leave their territory. But then… They asked me to join their Clan! ...this could be a chance for me to become one of those warriors!
Role: Supporting Character
Age: 3-4 Years
Medium-high to Medium-low. Feminine-ish and blurts out almost everthing he says. very energetic and loud. but also gets too calm. He still sounds like a little kid, but his voice also gets kinda deep.
The friend of Rusty. He's friendly and charming, a big eater, and one of the very few excellent apprentices in Thunderclan. he brings his friends up when their feeling down, "always stay positive!" he says. he genuinely cares for his friends and his clan, willing to fight anything for him to keep everything. he acts like he's all tough and almost like a cool biker dude trying to hit on chicks! when really he's a dork. and a big mushy and loving dork at that. when not involving hurting someone, he breaks the rules.
(Alarmed, but also sounds like a tiny puppy trying to seem intimidating.) Stay back! this is Thunderclan territory! take one more step and i will slice you into pieces!
(Confident and Loud!) Get em, Rusty! kick that stupid Longtail into the sun! uh... (Nervous laugh)
(Sad, but trying to sound strong for his friend.) I'm sorry Rusty.. but how come you haven't told me that you've never been to the wild in your whole life? i mean, don't all twolegs let their pets out alone at LEAST once?
Role: Old..not-so-wise Mentor
Age: 10 years old
Voice is high to medium-low. sounds like she's on the verge of almost falling asleep, like a 40 year-old divorced mother. higher in tone and happier when giving a normal speech or just relaxing. Belle grew up being spoiled and rich, so she tends to get mad easily. which when she does get stressed or mad, she screams or yells a lot.
Bluestar is a middle aged she-cat who is leader of Thunderclan. she's sarcastic and impatient, gets irritated easily, and hits on tom-cats when she gets the chance. sounds like a 40 year-old divorced mother cause she is divorced. not too old though, young enough to still have kits. but old enough to almost not have kits. the stupidity of her clan angers her deeply; even though Blue loves her clan, she loves herself more. she's very selfish without realizing it! such as using Rusty to her advantage, due to a "prophecy" that her friend Spottedleaf had from Starclan. but.. she learns her lesson at the end of the day.. maybe?
NOTES: 1: lowkey sounds like a villain, she just wants to rest. 2: she gets VERY energetic when fighting or is mad.
(she's talking to her best friend, she sounds: sad, almost like she got defeated in a battle.) I am concerned for our clan, i can't believe we got beaten in our own territory... that's never happened ever since i became the leader!
(still sad, but more confident than before, gets happier at the end.) *sigh* This is gonna be difficult times for our clan. the season of NewLeaf is late, and there have been fewer kits. I'M gonna need more warrriors as soon as possible!
(Furious, she's going to snap!) I told you not to go in my den! now the whole forest is gonna hear about what i've done!
Role: Supporting Character
Age: 2 years
Voice is high-low to medium-low. scrappy and skittish, like he's about to have a heart-attack. his voice cracks often. extremely nervous, and loud. when calm, he's pretty quiet.
Ravenpaw is a scaredy-cat (pun maybe-intended..) he's scared of pretty much everything. except for his friends. one in particular, Tigerclaw. his worst fear. Ravenpaw has witnessed to many deaths; but he gets spooked too easily.. show him a snail and he'll probably pass out. truly a loser, but a lovable loser.
(Skittish, but trying to sonud normal.) Ah! ..oh, hi R-Rusty! sorry, i've been all j-j-jittery ever since.. well.. you know..
(Confident, but not enough.) Maybe.. i'm not too good at hunting. but i'll show that Tigerclaw who's boss! (Tigerclaw shows up behind him) AH! oh hi Mr Tigerclaw! i didn't say anything!
(Mad, but still skittish. talking to someone like a nerd standing up to a bully.)So! you like to pick on people, huh? i-i'll show you! Ahh!
Role: Old-wise Witch Doctor.
Age: 8 years
Voice is high-medium. (NOTE: it's not a deep voice, she has a light voice and sounds cheerful.) Sounds like a cute and kind Grandma who cooks for her grand kids a lot. or a school teacher. overly kind as if she's trying her best to sugar-coat and not hurt anyone's feelings. she's slightly scatterbrained, but has the right idea for certain things.
Spottedleaf is a Medicine Cat from Thunderclan. she's the most reliable source for prophecies and omens. even though it's not her duty, she LOVES to give the kits snacks and gifts. if she could, she would have kits. and spoiled the heck out of them to the point of irritating.
(Demanding, but not mad. almost like disciplining a dog.) Not so fast, Tigerclaw! Raven needs to keep as still as possible until his wound has healed. I don’t want him opening his wound by jumping about trying to please you. Leave him alone.
(Light, Happy.) Ah, Welcome Guest! could i get you anything to satisfy your needs? i have a whole new section of seeds!
(Serious, being nice but being honest.) I'm afraid i cannot, i'm a Medicine cat. my job isn't to go hunting. i take care of cats. but maybe your friend Greypaw can help you, yes?
Role: Long-lost Childhood Friend
Age: 2 Years
Voice is high-low to medium. he's Quiet, but gets loud when speaking up about his thoughts. he has a lisp, kinda raspy, and nervous.
Smudge is Rusty's old friend. he's nice but definitely clingy. willing to basically risk his life for even a fly, Smudge was Rusty's best friend. but too risky and clingy for his own good.
(Excited but cautious, he said this like it was a joke.) You wouldn’t get me in there. It’s dangerous! could you imagine Rody going in there? Dogs are dumb! he probably would get killed!
(Concerned, then happy) Rusty.. are you okay? did they hurt you? or- *excited gasp* did they give you a cool scar for free!?
(Loud and almost obnoxious!) Henry told me there are all sorts of dangerous animals out there! Huge wildcats who eat live rabbits for breakfast! and sharpen their claws on OLD BONES! they take you and make you a slave for their own needs!
Role: Secondary Mentor to Supporting Characters
Age: 15 years
Voice is medium to very-low. Old and wise. like a old wizard, or a old man telling children a story. he has growl to his voice, kind of booming. he's Friendly and kind, but also demanding. he should sound like a old-western father that went on many adventures. (Think Sam Elliott.)
Lionheart is well.. the heart of Thunderclan. he puts everyone in place, kinda like a second leader. Mentor of Greypaw, he trains him rarely, but mainly teaches him mental strength. Lionheart is the strongest cat in the clan, next to Tigerclaw. who can kill any cat in a single blow.(is what he claims.) Lion also keeps up with the health of the cats within the clan. he's truly one the most inspiring cats in the forest.
(Demanding, but calm. trying to get this cat to understand.) If you wish to train with us, we will have to take you into our Clan. You must either live with us and respect our ways, or return to your Twoleg place and never come back. You cannot live with a paw in each world.
(Strong and Inspiring.) Use your back legs! ..if you keep landing on your back, your opponent would take you out in one slash. keep on training, want you two to be this best warriors you can be.
(Sounds like a over-protective father, and sounds mad when talking to the monster.) Stay back youngsters! i'll take care of this one. just come and get me you monster! i'm not letting you hurt my clan!
Role: Sassy and (not-so-cool) Cool Uncle
Age: 12 years
Voice is Medium-high to medium-low. British accent(or any other accent that's similar.) he has a very sly, sassy voice. and very "know-it-all" ish. like that one kid who took too many acting classes and shows it off to seem "attractive." despite that, he's also very kind. but when he is, it sounds like he's about to steal an old lady's purse. he fairly-often elongates his words like he's trying to make someone mad, but fails greatly. he's annoying in that case.
Whitestorm is a too-confident tomcat. he's not really a 'bad' dude, he's just condescending. thinking he's all great and mighty, when he's just a regular tomcat who grew his hair out too much. he's like the rich snooty kid that got good stuff in school cause "your mom's out for the week." vibes.
(Light, maybe a little too nice.) Oh my stars! Welcome to Thunderclan, Little one! i'm Whitestorm and i'll be your Tourist!
(Excited, talking to Rusty like he IS a dog.) I've heard about you. your name is.. Rusty? you're a lot cuter than everyone else said! i thought you'd be a dog..? but no! it's a cute little kittypet! you're so cute! yes you are!
(Overly-dramatic) Agh! no! my hair! my beautiful long hair! it's all ruined! my face is all messy, my back hurts.. now my hair!? how could this day get any worse?!
Role: Angry, Crazy Bully
Age: 7 years old
Voice is medium-high to medium-low. Scratchy and loud, he's trying to seem the best. sounds like an egotistical teen. his voice cracks mainly when he's mad. but when he is, it sounds like he's going to rip his fur out.

(really trying to sound like a douchebag.) Look at his collar! He’s a kittypet! Once a kittypet, always a kittypet. This Clan needs wildborn warriors to defend it, not another soft mouth to feed!
(bully-ish, sounds like he's picking on a nerd in school) Your collar is a mark of the Twolegs, and that noisy jingling will make you a poor hunter at best! At worst, it will bring the Twolegs into our territory, looking for the poor lost kittypet who fills the woods with his pitiful tinkling!
Role: Grumpy Old-man
Age: 14 years
Voice is Medium-low to low. VERY deadpanned. he sounds like a old-grumpy grandpa who hates kids cause they keep play sword-fight on his lawn. he's tired and just wants to take a nap.
Darkstripe is Longtail's friend. he's mostly a loner, but doesn't mind when Longtail is hanging around. he's either sleeping all day or kicking cats in his clan. messing or pranking him will most likely result in death or injuries. despite this, kits still mess with him.
(Grumpy, he's talking to Rusty. so he's not too happy.) Unbelievable. ..Lucky your collar snapped when it did. Longtail is a young warrior, but I can’t imagine him being beaten by a kittypet!
(Lighter in tone, but still mad. he's not having it.) Longtail, it's unlike you to lose to such a.. unusual cat. he's just partly a kit! you sometimes make me disappointed in you.
(Mad, with alarm.) Watch your step! you wouldn't want to mess with me.. i'll shred you into pieces. kit.
Role: Crazy and Grumpy Old-man
Age: 17 years
Voice is Tired but intense old-man voice. Southern/Western Accent. He yells at people if they don't hear him the first time.
Smallear is chill when he really wants to be. but he does get angry easily, like if people can't understand what he's saying. he's been alive for quite some time, but no matter how long it is, it seems like he never dies. stuck on 17 years they guess.
(Irritated, sounding like he's trying to offend someone.) I think your hearing has become as poor as your eyesight! I said, how long before Bluestar appoints a new deputy?!
(Scratchy, slightly calm, but not fully. it's annoying to him.) Young kittypet, you better be careful you know! i can't be walkin' around when you and 'yer crazy friends keepin' runnin' around like that!
(too excited, happy.) 'ight kits! it's time fer my favorite lesson! huntin' crows in the middle of the night! who wants to go first?
Role: Crazy and Grumpy old-lady
Age: 18 years
Voice is Kind and caring, but as grumpy as Smallear at times. typical old lady voice but slightly more insane.
Dappletail is unwell but reasonable, she doesn't like being bothered a lot but won't snap if someone ever were to.
(Mad, scrappy in the voice. almost like she's choking on a fly.) These mice ain't tastin' the way they used to be.. especially with this kittypet ruinin' the air with Twoleg smell!
(Disappointed.) Bluestar ain't treatin' these kits right! what they need is a good ol' fashion training session, once- twice- thrice everyday!
(Almost jokingly, sassy.) Can't hear you smallear! it soundin' like you swallowin' a fish whole!
Role: that one cool Grandma
Age: 16 years
Voice is Younger sounding than the other two, but still old. she has a semi-light voice but kinda deep. very chill, but dopey. almost like a character from a children's cartoon.
Oneeye is the nicest female elder in the clan. She's humorous and makes puns of almost everything, AKA the type of grandma you'd wanna hang out with. she's confused and can't understand most things, but she has the positive spirit.
(Nice and kind, she genuinely cannot understand him.) What was that Smallear? i can't hear you over the wind outside.
(Kind and hopeful, she sounds a little too nice.) Time for a restin'! it's been a nice day but it's sundown. see you later kits! tomorrow is worm diggin'!
Role: Curious Uncle
Age: 15 years
Voice is Light and nice. no accent. kinda shaky, and concerned.
Halftail has a nice personality. he's too busy taking care of his poor body, but if he could, he would love to play and have fun with the kits. he likes to look at a positive look at stuff, even if it is a bad situation.
(Kinda sad, but hopeful.) At least this time the choice is obvious.. it has to been someone Bluestar truly trusts.. hm.
(Hopeful and kind.) What could possibly go wrong? i mean, surely we lost our food.. but we still have each other! and that's what counts. let's all have a group hug!

you don't have to sound EXACTLY like these singers, but i'm looking for something similar! so no Rookie-singers. i'm looking for people with experience of singing in general in the past. i'm not THAT picky over singers, but please find it in yourself to make the voice range right!
