War of the Spark Episode 4
Project Overview
Wizards of the Coast releases an online web story for Magic: the Gathering just about every week. It is our goal on the Voice of All podcast to bring these stories to life through audio.
The web fiction version of the events of the War of the Spark novel continues! Today features a number of new characters, including our narrator's mom! You can read the the story here:

We are looking to keep up with the release of Wizards' stories as best as possible and will release our version the second following Friday, so expect to be cast this week and have your lines to me within a few days.
As a general casting note, I do not typically have any voice requirements in mind for characters. I would much rather hear your interpretations and choose from among them.

The centaur Spearmaster Boruvo is Rat's doting godfather. Formerly a member of the wild Gruul clans, he found a calling with the Selesnya Conclave, standing for peace and order and hoping his goddaughter might join him someday. He is strong and stern, but more than happy to acquiesce to her any need with the slightest push.
"Goddaughter! You should not be out and about. These are dangerous times." [Surprised! Stern, but excited to see her]
"Anyone with the good taste to take notice of our Araithia deserves a chance to be heard."
"Milady Tandris, you know Guildmaster Kaya of the Orzhov Syndicate. With her are her associate Teyo Verada and my goddaughter, Araithia Shokta, still Gateless."
Our narrator, Rat's, mother! A fierce warrior in the Gruul clans, she's one of the few people who can see her daughter without being directed to. As such she's fiercely loving and protective, and always excited when she visits.
You stay away too long, girl. I miss you, believe it or not."
[mourning a friend of her daughter's who died] "I know, Araithia. I heard. I'm so very sorry. She could kill with the best of them. And she was a good friend to you. A worthy friend."
[fake yawning hearing her husband is fighting again] "Again?"
An undead lich of the Golgari Swarm, Storrev is attendant to Queen Vraska. She is patient and reserved. Her voice is described as "leaves being blown across a grave."
"Greetings, Guildmaster Zarek. Greetings, Guildmaster Kaya. The Golgari Swarm welcomes you to Svogthos."
"Vraska freed the Erstwhile and gave us our tormentor Mazirek."
"Each of these individuals—myself excepted—has a claim to Vraska's throne."
Azdomas is a kraul, a member of the insectile race that live among the Golgari Swarm. He serves in the Krunstraz, the honor guard that protects Queen Vraska. In this story he is angry and bitter that one of his own betrayed the guild.
"Mazirek was another Bolas collaborator, revealed by Queen Vraska before her departure."
"He has paid the ultimate price for betraying the Swarm."
"No, my queen."
