Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea Fandub
Project Overview

Wadanohara and the Great Blue Sea is a pseudo-RPG with a heavy story focus, made by Deep-Sea Prisoner in RPG Maker 2000.
A clear blue sea under a beautiful blue sky.
After a long departure, the sea witch Wadanohara travels back home with her familiars.
But her ex-familiar, the shark Samekichi, appears to block her way:
"You shouldn't be here... Leave this sea, right now."

Me, back at it again with another RPGMaker game fandub? You know it! This time around it's WatGBS. I plan to work on this fandub alongside my Witch's Heart one, which is a bit ambitious, but plan on giving each the same amount of attention. Scripts will be written BEFORE auditions are closed. So don't worry about waiting forever to record after you've been cast, as things will immediately get rolling.
Please take note of the following before auditioning:
- State your preferred name, pronouns (optional), and age when you audition, either in the audio file or in the comments/description of the audition. If you don't do this, your audition won't be considered.
- Due to certain content/imagery within the game, you must be 17+ to audition. If you are found to not meet this requirement, your audition will not be considered.
- Have a decent mic. You don't need anything fancy-schmancy, but try to avoid popping/peaking and excessive background noise.
- Be committed. Do your best to make deadlines and stick around for the long haul. Communicate with the director and others if problems arise.
- Be creative! No characters have a canonical voice, as the original game is not voiced.
- Have a Discord. If cast, you will be invited to a server where everyone will communicate and scripts will be sent.
Ignore the posted deadline - it is not set in stone and won't be until an update saying otherwise is posted.
More characters will be added as time goes on. Updates will be posted when more characters are added.

Short Hiatus
If not already obvious, this project has been on a mini-hiatus. I'm waiting for parts for a new PC that I am building to come in, and once I have a new computer to edit on, this project will continue production! Sorry about the inactivity! I'll continue extending the deadline until the break ends. Thank you for your patience, and thank you to anyone who has auditioned thus far ! -

I realized I forgot to add Doloz and Lobco! Also the deadline is being extended to March 25th, due to many characters having very little or no auditions. If by that time we are still lacking auditions, the project may go on hiatus to be continued at a later date or replaced with another. -

All roles are added, other than extras/some that do not appear until later. Please audition for these if you'd like! The first round of casting will be on March 15th. Wadanohara is shown to be naive and kind. She has a deep love for the sea and all its inhabitants, which causes her to burden herself with more responsibility than she can handle. She tends to not speak of her own worries, showing she cares more about the happiness of others than her own well being. She is very kind and warm to everyone around her, and cares more about her friends than her own well-being, and has a bad habit of hiding her feelings when bothered or distressed.

Rough and blunt at first, Samekichi comes off as a harsh individual that seems as if he bears a strong hatred for everything in existence. However, this was just a ruse, as he simply wanted to maximize the chance for Wadanohara's safety. He deeply cares for Wadanohara and gets easily flustered and angry.

"You shouldn't be here. Leave this sea, right now. You're just impediments as far as I'm concerned."
(Flustered) "S-Sorry, I-I just... Do I really cut it?"

At the beginning of the game, he seems to have an innocent, very kind, and warm personality. However, after he reveals his position as the ambassador of the Sea of Death, his true nature is exposed. He is manipulative, sadomasochist, and a sore loser when things don't go his way. He is one of the main antagonists of the game.
Caution: This character is manipulative and pretty much pure evil. His actions are not good at all. Please be aware that he has manipulative/abusive lines before auditioning.

Helica is rather thick-headed, dumb. She possesses a rather infantile demeanor; she enjoys looking at picture books, playing Othello, and dislikes sour persimmons, traits akin to a small child. Helica is prone to becoming enraged easily, especially when drunk; when she becomes intoxicated, she loses the ability to differentiate friend from foe. Despite her shortcomings, she has a strong sense of justice.
