Vocal Mixing/ Comping

Hi! I’m looking for someone to help me finish a cover song I recorded.

I recorded several different takes of the song, and there are parts I like from each one. I’m looking for someone who can comp the takes together—choosing and blending the best sections from each recording—to create one smooth, natural-sounding final vocal performance.

I’m open to working with both experienced vocal editors/mixers and newer audio engineers who are looking for an opportunity to build their portfolio. If you’re still developing your skills but feel confident that you can help with this project, you’re welcome to apply.

I’d also love help with general vocal production, including:

• Cleaning up background noise or unwanted sounds

• Balancing the volume between different takes

• Making transitions between takes sound seamless

• Applying EQ and compression where needed

• Pitch or timing correction if necessary

• Adding reverb and effects that fit the song

• Mixing the finished vocal with the instrumental

I can provide the instrumental as well as the individual vocal takes/files.

The main goal is for the final version to still sound like me and my natural voice, just polished and professionally put together. I’m not looking for extremely heavy autotune or effects unless they genuinely benefit the song.
