V3 Voices: Fandubbing Danganronpa V3 Content!

Project Overview

Calling all recreational voice-actors and Danganronpa fans alike!

Welcome to V3 Voices, a fan voice-acting group dedicated to Danganronpa V3! Considering other groups like this are either full or inactive, we’ve decided to make our own!

We are a tumblr, discord, and youtube (when we start recording eventually) based group, and while we intend to do some serious dubbing, we also want to have fun and become a great group of friends!

After our first and second casting waves, we've gotten most of our characters cast! However, any listed here as open are available for auditioning. There's always the possibility of someone dropping out and a role opening up.

We also require auditioners to please submit a form to us via email. You can find that form and more information, such as audition guidelines, here on our blog! For those of you auditioning on here, please feel free to exclude your audition voice files from the email, but please let us know that you're from Casting Call, and what your name/account is, as well as who you've auditioned for.

  • Casting Wave 2!

    After lots of consideration, we finally have gotten through out second casting wave! We got, again, many wonderful auditions and it was very difficult to make a decision, especially on a few select roles! We were fortunate enough to get the rest of the students cast! Here are our decisions for Casting Wave 2: Rantaro Amami will be played by: DistressClouds Kaito Momota will be played by: C_Squint K1-B0/Kiibo will be played by: Isa Gonta Gokuhara will be played by: Sir Chasm Ryoma Hoshi will be played by: Aiva Kokichi Ouma will be played by: Atelier Kuya Monokuma will be played by: Abe Monophanie will be played by: Courtney Monosuke will be played by: Tyler So, with these castings, we’ve covered most of our characters. We still need auditions for Monotaro and Monodam. We have people to fill in for now, but we are still accepting auditions via email or on casting call for these two roles! Let’s get them filled as soon as possible. With so little spots to fill, we will not be holding a third casting wave. However, should anyone in our project drop out, we will be sure to reopen roles accordingly and inform you all! And remember, even if you’re not cast, you still have a chance to participate and interact with us! We’ll still be opening our discord server to fans once we get our entire cast situated, so look out for that! Thanks for reading and let’s all work together to make this a fun and successful project!   • Prepare for Casting!

    We'll be casting our decisions tomorrow, September 29th, to coincide with the final release of Danganronpa V3! If our decisions includes someone on casting call it'll show, but we also have auditions outside of casting call. Either way, each role that gets filled will be closed! Thank you all for you lovely auditions!

  • Casting Wave 2 is closing soon!

    Thanks to everyone who has auditioned so far! While the initial date was September 30th, we've decided to close auditions tomorrow, September 28th, at 1PM (Central Standard Time). Any auditions submitted after that will not be considered for this casting wave. While it's not certain, we still have characters who may not get cast this wave, so a third wave may be in order. If this happens, we'll follow up after the 2nd wave is over and we've cast our decisions. Additionally, if you have auditioned here on casting call and NOT emailed [email protected] the form in our audition guidelines. please do so! For this character, a bold, energetic, and manly voice is required. Kaito Momota has a tone of bravado and confidence, but is also comical. Make him sound as valiant and obnoxious as possible! Feel free to model it after his Japanese or English voice, or go with your own twist!

For Keebo, a more "nerdy" and "easily flustered" male voice would be good. It's not too deep, and on top of that, it should be somewhat robotic, but not in a way that makes him sound deadpan or without any emotion. You can model it after either his English or Japanese voice, or go ahead with your own twist. 


Here are examples of both:

  • "I'm not just any old robot! I am K1-B0, the Ultimate Robot! But please, address me as 'Keebo'!"

  • "Are you another robophobe? I have a recording function. If you make any robophobic remarks, I will see you in court!"

  • "I see it! Let me print out this memory."

Gonta has a peculiar way of speaking. He has a somewhat deep voice, but it is not very scary either. It has a cute quality about it, too. As an executive choice, we will not be following the NISA dub pattern of making him speak in broken English. Still, you can reference the English as well as Japanese voice, or come up with your own take.


Here are examples of his voice:

  • "Gonta's name is Gonta Gokuhara... Gonta's talent is Ultimate Entemologist!"

  • "Gonta wants to become a true gentleman! Becoming this is Gonta's goal!"

  • "Gonta could maybe use fists as weapons, but if he did that, Gonta would be no gentleman."

For Ouma, a more playful, boyish voice is needed. It's sort of squeaky and annoying, like the kind of voice that would get in your head. However, it should also be a voice that sound somewhat malicious and evil. You can model it after either is Japanese or English voice, or do your own twist!

Ryoma, despite his cute appearance and small stature, has a deep man's voice. It's calm, listless, perhaps a bit flustered at times, but mostly conveys a rational, wise disposition. Feel free to reference his voice in either Japanese or English, or, you can come up with your own interpretation!

  • "Ryoma Hoshi, the man called the Ultimate Tennis Pro... no longer exists. I'm nothing more than his empty shell."

  • "Hmph... you're rather motivated to stay alive. I wish I had.... no, nevermind."

  • "You won't get anywhere using weak reasoning like that."

Rantaro Amami is a cool, contemplative sounding guy. He should sound calm, maybe a little listless, like he's lost in thought, but somehow chill about what's going on around him. Pull from Japanese or English if you'd like, or come up with your own sound for him.


Here's some examples of how he sounds:

  • "My name is Rantaro Amami. I can't remember my Ultimate talent at the moment.... but I promise, I'm not suspicious. Nice to meet you."

  • "You know, I'm actually kind of looking forward to figuring it out. I wonder what kind of Ultimate I am..."

  • "Hmm, guess life just isn't that easy.."

Monokuma is meant to have a childishly annoying voice... but also, it should have the capacity to sound menacing despite it's cheeriness! This character is a mascot, so the voice should definitely stand out. You can take examples from either his Japanese or English voice, or, come up with your own take!

  • "I... am... Monokuma! And, I am the headmaster of this school!"

  • "Please, just calm down, and kill! After all, the first one's free!"

  • "Let's give it everything we've got... it's... PUNISHMENT TIME!"

Monotaro should have a sort of older brother voice, one that defines a leader. He's confident, but still a bit childish, and his voice should also reflect the fact that he still has malicious intentions. 


Here's a few examples:

  • "We're the Monokubs! Nice to meetcha! I'm Monotaro!"

  • "Cause S-T-F-U! That's why!... because, it'll 'stir the fun up', get it?!"

  • "Bears don't lie! Never!"

Monokid has a deeper voice, but it's very childish and vulgar, too. He's a bully, so a very loud and domineering presence is needed in his voice. Feel free to reference his Japanese or English voice, or try your own!

  • "I'm pissed! I gotta cool off by beatin' the shout outta Monodam!"

  • "Hell yeah! We'd have to rip and tear into your huge guts just to make it entertaining!"

Monosuke is a snotty, intellectual sounding character. He's vulgar, but in a snarkier and "mightier than thou" way, different from Monokid. You can reference his Japanese or English voice, or, try coming up with your own version.

  • "Y'know, for a protagonist... your reaction to us was pretty boring."

  • "No shit, sherlock! I mean, look at us! We're clearly his flesh-and-blood cubs!"

  • "What's ya say, Jabroni?!"

Monophanie is a sweet, soft-hearted sounding girl, despite being malicious like her brother's and father. She should sound wistful, cute, but also cruel and sarcastic at times, teasing those around her. Reference her Japanese or English voice if you like, or, come up with your own!

  • "He was like... a leaf on the wind!"

  • "It's rude to scream at the sight of cute little bears like us~!"

  • "Are you sure it's okay to give them a hint so soon....? It's like rewarding a baby with milk when it's been up all night crying!"

Monodam sounds like a robot, a text-to-speech voice. It should be somewhat creepy, masculine, and convey the fact that he, too, is a villain. Despite this, it should also sound a bit somber, sad even. You can reference his Japanese or English voices, or try your own take.

  • "THANK-YOU-FATHER! BUT-THE-ACADEMY-IS-UNDER-OUR-HARMONIOUS-CONTROL-NOW!"

  • "WE'RE-HAVING... A-KILLING-GAME."

  • "LET'S-GET-ALONG... OTHERWISE... I-WON'T-FORGIVE-YOU!"
