Who am I?
My name is Shakuryon "Shak" Steward, and I am a Southern, Black, North-American voice actor with over 4+ years of paid experience voiceovers in YouTube videos for many niches (F1, ChatGPT, financial, and other types of niches), an Austrian dubbed film, virtual assistant, voiceover for apps, publishing an ACX audiobook, and serving over 100+ clients on Upwork. Rated in 2022 as the Top voiceover artists from Alabama.
What is the project?
I am creating this project today, because Upwork just created a new service that allows voice actors to collaborate with other voice actors on their platform. I am wanting to have YOU be part of my network of voice actors that I can guide and refer them to jobs in order to start making some money on Upwork's platform, as well as make a NAME for yourself in the voice acting world. Look, the voice acting field is pretty intimidating, and there is a lot of aspiring voice actors, possibly you, that do not know where to start. If you are someone who wants to learn how to get lead roles in Disney films, for example, then this networking project is possibly not for you. BUT if you want to learn how to make MONEY as a voice actor, then please audition to be a part of my network! I will teach you the ropes of Upwork, teach you how to make cold calls for marketing your voice acting business, give you constructive criticism (only if you WANT it lmao) of your work, and I will teach you how to get started making money as a voice actor artist.
What is "Upwork" fam?
Upwork is a freelancing website, where you are able to offer your services to clients. One of those services is, yep you guessed it, voice acting. Probably an unpopular opinion, but Upwork kicks Fiverr's butt in terms of making an Entry-Level voice actor get his/her start. Fiverr is more for Intermediates and Experts (IMO).
