Project Overview
Unleashed is a modern fantasy series that follows Xyla, a dragon-kin who’s spent years hiding from a violent past she can never escape. Raised by a pastor, Michael, after being found as a child with bruises and a mysterious origin, Xyla has lived a relatively quiet life—until her 23rd birthday. On that fateful day, the forces from her homeworld, Feardro, find her at last.
As Xyla's past resurfaces, strange occurrences begin to unfold: people start disappearing, and whispers of a dangerous presence grow louder. Now, Xyla is forced to confront the truth of who she is while struggling to keep her true nature hidden. The arrival of two relentless pursuers, Finn and Aileen, forces Xyla into hiding as she tries to protect the life she’s built. With every passing day, the stakes grow higher, and Xyla finds herself torn between embracing the power that could save her or hiding away from the world forever.
As the lines between friend and foe blur, Xyla must decide how much she’s willing to sacrifice to protect the people she loves—and whether she can ever truly outrun the monsters of her past.
