Undertale song - Cursed Anomaly (Parody of the fan song Ruinous)
Project Overview
(Decided in the end to just do it myself for the #JoinTheMasquerade contest, haha)
With the Narrator Chara theory gaining more and more traction in the Undertale fandom, and the plethora of "Chara is evil" songs that were out there made in the early parts of the fandom, I decided to take the Undertale fan song "Ruinous" (itself a "Chara is in control" song), and rework the lyrics to fit the idea that it's the Player/Anomaly that is the true evil one, not Chara, and both she and Frisk are forced to do these things against their will, and overtime she's grown to despise the Anomaly.
Being linked to Frisk and guided by the Player/Anomaly, Chara is one of the few who is not only aware of the Anomaly's existence and that it's controlling her and Frisk, but that the Anomaly also must be human, since its SOUL is what's forcing her anf Frisk to do these things, so the song is Chara expressing her thoughts as a final plea of understanding, while at the same time expressing a tranquill anger toward the Anomaly for corrupting her and willing to do it over and over.
I hesitate to call Cursed Anomaly a parody strictly speaking, because while it uses the instrumental of another song, it's serious in tone rather than comedic. But since I don't think there's really a term for that, I guess I can call it a variation. And Chara needs an "I'm not evil" song, so darn it, I'm giving her one!
I also intend to have it as a lyric video utilizing different effects and sprites from the game.

(Note the demo has different lyrics than the doc, as the lyrics weren't finalized when I recorded it, so just go with the lyrics that are in the lyrics doc. :))

In the context of the song, at this point Chara and Frisk have both gone through many resets together.
The song is more-or-less a last-ditch effort from Chara to try to understand and get through to the Anomaly. As stated in the project description, Chara is using this song as a conflicted, desperate plea for the Anomaly to leave her and her world alone and stop tormenting everyone.. Her tone is a mixture of defiant and confused, primarily the latter.
Any part of the song
(spiteful but resigned) You're never going to change, are you? (The only spoken part, near the end of the song right before the final part as shown in the demo)
