[OPEN] Undertale/Deltarune Comic Dubbing Team

Project Overview

Hey everyone, it's us! We're currently looking for talented voice actors for our new (possibly long term) undertale and deltarune dub series! We'll be dubbing comics, the game, and more!


PRODUCTION

This is the first comic dub project I've done, so I'm relatively new to this. I have lots of experience in VEGAS and Audacity, and plan to make videos similar to Undertale Comic TV (Our goal is to be featured there! :D)


HOW TO AUDITION

And now to the good part! This is the part you've all been waiting for, showing yourself off! Give it everything you've got when auditioning! We need louds! We need quiets! Anything that you feel fits the character. All characters provided will have a short description of their role in their games with a few lines for you to record. If you feel that your audition wasn't up to par and want to redo it, you are free to send me a PM to let me know, but do it before the deadline please! All auditions should be in the WAV format, have minimal to no background noise, and be used with a high-quality microphone, nothing less. If you want to audition for multiple characters, I won't be mad at you! You are allowed as many takes as you see fit. If you get multiple parts you'll get to choose which part you want.


REQUIREMENTS

- A sense of humor (Bland is boring)

- Decent Microphone

- Basic Activity (Available most weekend on PC, Available most days on Phone)

- At LEAST 14 years of age

  • Deadline bug? Oh well...

    Hey everyone! Sorry to inform you, but CCC went through a glitch within the past 30 minutes, and pushed the deadline ahead to now. I don't know if it was a misclick on my part, or something else, but either way, it can't be undone If anyone wanted to possibly post an audition, but didn't get a chance, I'll have a channel open in the discord server where you can post late auditions. I'll be going through the list now to see who's getting cast, so if you get that beautiful notification, MAKE SURE TO READ THE PROJECT CHAT! CCC Private Messages are weird, and it'd take a long time to send them all out, so I already have the message set up in the project chat. Frisk, the gender neutral protagonist of UNDERTALE. If you choose to audition for this character, the only real thing I can say is have a somewhat young voice as Frisk is a child/teen in the game.


The lack of description is due to the character being voiceless, so not much is known about their past, personality, etc. So come up with something interesting!

Flowey is the first major character that the protagonist encounters in Undertale. Flowey serves as the main antagonist for the majority of the game, specifically the Neutral and True Pacifist routes, and can be considered a deuteragonist for the Genocide Route. He provides an introduction to the mechanics of encounters by sharing "friendliness pellets," which are actually harmful bullets, revealing his philosophy of "KILL or BE KILLED".

Flowey is very much insane, so if you have the ability to, GO CRAZY! His ideal voice is high pitched, narcissistic, and above all absolutely bonkers.

Sans is the brother of Papyrus and a major character in Undertale. He first appears in the forest after the protagonist exits the Ruins. He serves as a supporting character in a Neutral and True Pacifist Route and as the final boss and heroic antagonist in a Genocide Route.


Sans is known as a lazy troll, he often spends his time slacking and tends to mess around with the protagonist. Most fans consider sans to have a Boston-like accent, but if you have anything original, feel free to try it out.

Papyrus is the brother of Sans and a major character in Undertale. His main motive is to capture a human so he can become a member of the Royal Guard, and finally have friends and popularity.

Papyrus is a very outgoing and strong individual, with the resolve of a true Knight! However, that doesn't prevent him from having one of the most iconic voices in all of Undertale! Undyne  is a fish-like monster that leads the Royal Guard. Clad in her full suit of armor, she pursues the protagonist through the entirety of Waterfall and is frequently evaded or inadvertently thwarted by the Monster Kid.


Undyne has a very outgoing and egotistical voice. She often picks fights just for the fun of it, and is very Gung-Ho. She often has a lot of energy, so don't expect her to ever be calm...

Dr. Alphys is a female, reptilian monster that lives in the lab in western Hotland. She is the incumbent Royal Scientist, a position she was awarded by Asgore after the disappearance of her predecessor.


Alphys is very much nerdy, and loves to overtalk about things like Anime, adventures they didn't go on etc. She often stutters and is very apologetic, even for her own good.

Mettaton

Mettaton is a robot with a SOUL and was built by Alphys. Initially poised as an entertainment robot turned human killing robot, Mettaton is later revealed to have only acted as such so that Alphys could rescue the protagonist, feel important and become closer to them. Mettaton is the sole television star of the Underground.


Mettaton's voice is very flamboyant, and slow. He likes to stretch out the length of words just so that everyone can here, so make sure to give it your best, darling!

Toriel is the second major character the protagonist encounters in Undertale. She saves the protagonist from Flowey and guides them through the Ruins.


Toriel has a very elegant and easy-going voice. She often talks very posh, saying things like "my child", without a noticeable accent.

Asgore Dreemurr is the ruler of the Underground and its denizens, monsters. He is the ex-husband of Toriel, father of Asriel Dreemurr, adoptive father of the first himan, and the penultimate boss of the Neutral Route. While not evil or malicious, he serves as one of the main antagonists, planning to kill seven humans and use their SOULs to break the barrier which traps the monsters in the Underground.

Asgore often speaks lightly in the game, yet maintains a deep voice of authority. He is the king of this land, so he must show it, even if he is one of the kindest monsters there.

Asriel Dreemurr is the biological child of Toriel and Asgore and the adoptive brother of the first human. He serves as the final boss of the True Pacifist Route.


When Asriel is seen in his original form, he often talks very lightly, with a voice of emotion and authority. He is the prince of the underground, bound to become it's king... or at least, was.

Chara, also known as the first human or the fallen human, is the first human to fall into the Underground. Chara is also the fallen human that the player names at the start of the game, and not the controllable character who is played throughout the entirety of Undertale.


Chara is not seen much in the game, but when they are, they often have a very calm tone. However, something is always off about them, something eerie or unsettling.

W.D Gaster

W. D. Gaster was the royal scientist before Alphys, responsible for creating the CORE. Gaster's Followers relay various explanations as to what happened to Gaster. One iteration says that he "fell into his creation," another says that "his experiments went wrong," and the last says that he "shattered across space and time." Characters such as the River Person and Gaster's Followers hint at his existence. Similar to Sans and Papyrus, he speaks in a typeface different from other characters.

Kris is the main protagonist of Deltarune and the human Hero of Light. During Chapter 1, they are primarily controlled by the player. The character remains genderless throughout the chapter, and has no spoken dialogue


Kris is an odd case, she usually isn't one to talk, and is often bullied by Susie. Kris has no spoken dialogue in the game so, come up with whatever you think fits!

Susie is a deuteragonist of Deltarune and the monster Hero of Light that The Prophecy speaks of. Susie is the school bully, and often tends to act punk/tough. However, it is seen in the game that she does get startled easily.

Ralsei is a deuteragonist of Deltarune as the "Prince from the Dark" Hero of Light, as foretold in the Prophecy.


Ralsei has a very soft voice, often complimenting his over-apologetic personality. He often takes any criticism as the ability to do better in the future, and only lets it bother him for a few short moments.

Lancer is a nefarious Darkner kid and minor antagonist in Chapter 1 of Deltarune. While his initial goal is to destroy the party before they can reach the Eastern Fountain and seal it, he eventually joins the team and becomes an ally.

He often jokes around, calling Kris and Ralsei names like "clowns". He often isn't taken seriously, and he is aware of that.

Jevil is an NPC and bonus boss in Chapter 1 of  Deltarune. Jevil can be found at the very bottom of the staircase on the ?????? floor of Card Castle. At first, he cannot be seen directly, and can only be talked to through his prison's closed door. Jevil is an optional enemy, and as such, defeating Jevil does not progress the story.


His voice is high pitched, often uneasy, and has a "retro" effect on it. You can choose to add the effect yourself or I can do it in post for comics

  • BOO HOO HOO, UEE HEE HEE. SO LONELY, LONELY, I BE... BUT LO, THREE VISITORS STANDING INSIDE? WHO ARE YOU FEW?

Rouxls Kaard

Rouxls Kaard is a Darkner NPC and minor antagonist in Chapter 1 of Deltarune. He introduces himself as the Duke of Puzzles, and attempts to thwart the party by forcing them to solve his puzzles. After being defeated multiple times, he refers to his prior actions as "Tests of [their] Heroick Resolve."\

Rouxls acts very egotistically during the events of Deltarune chapter 1. He claims to be the Duke of Puzzles, and attempts to stop the party by forcing them to solve his puzzles. However, he is an incompetent puzzle-maker; each of his puzzles consist of the bare minimum of elements -- a box and a button -- and he makes no attempt to obfuscate the solution in any way. He also vandalizes clues on puzzles he did not create, in order to make them "harder".

He uses Early Modern English speech patterns, presumably to appear educated, but this amounts to little more than replacing all instances of "you" with "thou", randomly adding "-est" and "-eth" suffixes, and haphazard capitalization of phrases for emphasis. When his pride is hurt, he doubles down by intensifying his misuse of Early Modern English to the point of incomprehensibility; but when surprised or stressed, he tends to drop it altogether.
