UNDERDUB – NO MERCY FOR MONSTERS
Project Overview
Since the game’s release and subsequent internet takeover, I’ve wanted to hear the monsters of Undertale come to life through voiceover! I’ve selected several short scenes from the popular RPG’s “No Mercy” route as the starting point for this dub. (Please note that this is simply a voiceover project, and will not be animated. It will feature only gameplay video.)
I have a fair amount of experience with both producing and directing, as I am both a film student and a full-time production coordinator at a Vancouver based post production studio.(Here is a demo reel of my completed animated projects, for the curious) I can assure you that this project will be completed with as much attention to detail as possible. I aim to make this dub sound as if it is officially voiced, and I can’t wait to hear what the members of this community have to offer!
The script and gameplay accompaniments have already been completed; the script will be sent to chosen candidates as soon as auditions are closed. The final video will run under 10 minutes long, and will be uploaded to a new channel specifically for Undertale dubs. If the project is successful, actors will be given the chance to reprise their roles if they wish.
AUDITION RULES:
-Access to a quality microphone. Auditions with hissing, pops, or other audio issues will not be considered.
-Punctual and consistent communication. If I need a line of dialogue re-done, please be available to re-record it.
-Auditions and final lines should be sent in AIFF, AAC or WAV formats. FLAC or MP3 will not be accepted.
-Auditions for multiple characters are accepted and encouraged!
-Knowledge of Undertale and its characters is preferred for context, but not required.
Auditions should be sent by DECEMBER 19TH at the latest. If you do not have an account here, please send your audition files to [redacted]
Thanks so much for reading! The thought of starting work on this dub and hearing the fantastic talent this place has to offer fills me with determination.
