About Twisting An Antagonist
Hello! I'm WaveeA, and I'm super excited that you're checking out Twisting An Antagonist! This is going to be one of the few original stories that tell both the hero's and the villain's point of view while the story is still in progress. Maybe the heroes aren't actually so heroic behind the curtain. Maybe the villains have reasons for their seemingly twisted beliefs. And maybe the heroes and the villains have more history together than is written in the storybooks.
Dasthanorb is a fairy-tale-like world that has its own fairy tales just like we do, but theirs come to life. Every decade, a prophecy is introduced to the world. Nobody is completely sure where they come from, but the stories they tell always come true. These prophecies shape the world and cause change and excitement. Some prophecies give people supernatural abilities, others create landmarks in the world. They create heroes, and if there are heroes, there have to be villains. But nobody wants to be a villain, so the prophecies find ways to make people villains. !This story contains sensitive topics!
Main Plot
Rindle and Ally are the only biological siblings in a family of five adopted children, and one mom that loves them all. When a man comes to their house to explain that they are part of a prophecy, the children are ecstatic. Rindle and Ally were selected to be the leads in the prophecy, Rindle being especially excited, but Ally being skeptical. The prophecy takes a terrible turn when it leads to Ally's death, and Rindle, already in line to be the next king because of the prophecy, decides to continue his life as a royal figure and to try to help the people the best he can. As king, he is faced with a group of six villains outside of a prophecy, causing havoc to the land. But their "sudden" appearance has more history than he originally thinks, and he has to uncover the secrets that lie everywhere around him to discover why everything seems out of place; while the eyes of the public watch over him.
On the Antagonist's, or the Villain's side of the story, things are very different. Five of the six grew up in terrible homes, and they met each other through their struggles. Alline, Adam, Michelle, and Aiome had a mutual friend, Dylan, who was killed in an attack on their town. They figured that if the world wasn't kind to them, why should they be kind to the world? The four of them decided to find the terrorists and bring justice to their friend, and karma to the terrorists, but their "justice" quickly gets out of hand as the entire city goes up in flames. They meet two younger teens who were in similar situations as them, and the six of them form their group of "villains". They attack only when attacked, and they soon become known as a large threat to society. But nobody really wants to be the villain of a story, so how much are they really willing to risk for their revenge?
Side Plots
1. There will be multiple romance plots including love triangles, forbidden love, and normal couples.
2. There will be a lot of family drama in more families than in the Sterre's.
3. This story is about people dealing with bad situations and hard emotional challenges, so there will be many other tragedies along the way.
To Audition
1. In the description of your audition, mention your Discord account, as well as list any information that would be important for me to know
2. Please don't have background noise, and have a good quality mic.
3. Show as much emotion as possible. This project is about emotions and how different experiences give people different views of the world
4. Be committed, this will be a multi-episode project
5. Make sure to turn in your lines on time if cast, I will give you two weeks to submit your lines. Also, keep everyone updated if you won't be able to be online for a long period of time, or if there is any important information
A Few Things To Know
-The characters age and become older as time goes on, and there are time skips. Most of the characters are teenagers for the majority of the story unless the role states otherwise.
-The "Character's Likeability" is how I think viewers will see the characters.
-If cast, you will record separately and will send in the lines through a Discord server.
-I will listen to EVERY audition that was submitted before the second deadline, May 5. (Note- the deadline of the CastingCall project will always say it is within a few days, but that is just because I want Twisting An Antagonist to appear close to the top of the listings.) I will keep the project open if I have not found all of the right voices. The new deadline will be an extension of about a week after the first deadline, and though I will hopefully not have to extend it again, I may do so.
-I may cast you in a different role than you originally auditioned for. If you don't want that, please let me know in the description of your audition. I will message you on CCC if you are cast for a different role that is not listed, along with information about that role.

Character Description
Alline, previously known as Ally Solis or Lina Day, has a medium to medium-high-pitched voice. She is a lead antagonist who tells many half-truths instead of lying. She is a somewhat mysterious person, even though a large portion of the story is from her point of view.
Character's Likeability
Alline is going to be a controversial character, where some people will love her, and some people will dislike her. She is going to be the type of character that will have immoral but justified actions.
To Audition For This Character

[Manipulative] Word of advice, don't tell anyone about what you saw. (chuckle) You don't want to run into us again, especially not when you're on our bad side.
[Desperate] I've gone through about a million different solutions in my head, but this is the only thing I've been able to come up with that could actually change something. You understand, don't you?
[Excited] (Younger voice, about 11 years old) I love that playlist! The music always just makes me feel really happy; I thought I was the only fan!
Character Description
Rindle has a medium-low-pitched voice. He is one of the lead protagonists who is very trusted. He is typically a serious person but can have a sense of humor when he is with his family and close friends.
Character's Likeability
Though Rindle is considered a protagonist, he will have actions that he greatly regrets, will be disliked because of.
To Audition For This Character
Be ok with yelling, and have lines primarily consisting of sound effects (heavy breathing, sobs, etc.); be able to play a younger version of this character.
[Casual] So if we head east towards Matriway, we can reach the city by noon, giving us enough time to eat and rest which is well deserved after this three-day journey.
[Determined] Rumors should not be taken as a form of confirmation. Nobody is invincible, and even if someone was, the chances of six individuals having the same power are impossible.
[Excited] (Younger voice, about 11 years old) So we can live in a castle?! And all I have to do is write my name on a fancy piece of paper with this shiny pen? Wow... this is so cool!
Character Description
Mika has a medium-pitched voice. He is one of the lead protagonists but is internally divided between both sides due to his past relationship with Alline. He can seem uninviting due to all of the stress he is under but tries to be positive and likable.
Character's Likeability
Micah will generally be liked, and he will be considered a protagonist throughout the whole series.
To Audition For This Character
Be able to play a character who goes through emotional struggles, yelling, and have lines as a younger version of this character.
[Casual, in agreement] Going east would not only be shorter, but it would also give us the chance to check on Railkya's reconstruction. We should get going now, then.
[Annoyed] I'm fine, Clara. *sigh* Just please leave me alone for now. I'll deal with all of this work later.
[Sad, but trying to sound confident] (Younger voice, about 12 years old) Well... I don't really want to be the General of War, but my dad says that it would be respectable and reputable... whatever that means. And it'll be in four years anyway, so I'm sure I'll like it by then.
Character Description
Aiome has a medium-high-pitched voice. He is one of the lead antagonists who cares greatly for his friends. He is a very comedic character and cracks jokes at the most serious times.
Character's Likeability
Aiome will be a very likeable character, and will be one of the more positive characters for the most part.

Be ok with portraying a character with emotional/psychological struggles, be able to play a younger version of this character (though Aiome's voice shouldn't change too much- just slightly higher than normal.)
(Serious) I'm not going to stop looking unless our chances drop to zero. Right now, she is alive somewhere, alone, with an entire kingdom against her.
(Flirtatious) Aw, you don't have to lie about that Lina, everyone knows you love me. (After being brutally rejected; comedically) Well... it was (sniff) worth a shot.
[Younger, about 12 years old] (Baffled) So... is anyone going to mention the fact that you can (Confused but excited) LITERALLY FLY?
Character Description
Adam has a medium-pitched voice. He is one of the antagonists; though he is supportive towards his friends when they need help, Adam is usually very conserved and closed off to except Alline about his emotions and opinions. As the series goes on, Adam will become more confident and open to others.
*Note* Adam was raised in an abusive (physical and emotional) family, and there will be flashbacks where this will be seen. This is one of the serious topics mentioned in this series.
Character's Likeability
Adam will be liked, and his positive character development will be enjoyed.

[Just having stopped daydreaming, confused] Oh, yeah! Sorry, I kind of spaced out there (nervous chuckle), what were you saying again?
[Younger, about 12 years old] [Scared] I- I'm sorry... I'll never do it again! (whisper) Please forgive me.
Character Description
Aiden has a medium-high-pitched voice. He is a supporting character that plays a larger role later in the series. He is classified as a protagonist but is split between both sides. He is very observant, and he is kind to everyone he meets.
Character's Likeability
Aiden is a very likeable character who is supportive and very accepting towards everyone, regardless of their reputation.
To Audition For This Character
Be able to have lines as a younger version of this character, yelling.
[Casual] How hard can it be? I mean, sure, famous last words, but I don't think I would regret trying to work with Mika. He's pretty cool.
[Confused, trying to comprehend] But that doesn't make any sense... it can't be Ally, she's dead. Unless... [realization] the prophecy hasn't ended.
[Sad] (Younger Voice, About 10 Years Old) But I don't want you to go! I don't understand.
Character Description
Michelle has a soft (except for yelling) medium-high to high pitched voice (Natural- not squeaky high.) She is an antagonist who is known to be very dangerous, contrary to her "innocent" look. Similar to Adam, she begins the series without much confidence but gains more self-esteem later.
Character's Likeability
Michelle will be very liked, and a character who will be "misunderstood" by the public inside of the story.

[Shocked, scared, crying] (Not the usual soft and quiet) NO! Please don't leave me, Dylan, I can't live without you!
Character Description
Dylan has a medium-pitched voice. He is neither an antagonist nor a protagonist but is a primary cause for the Antagonists. He is a very confident and sociable person, and easy to get along with. Note: He is killed a few episodes into the series, but is seen in many flashbacks and memories.
Character's Likeability
Dylan will be liked, as he is a very confident and positive.
To Audition For This Character
Be ok with yelling.
[Confident] This presentation is going to go great! As long as you don't get too nervous, public speaking is a breeze!
[Determained] We have to do something about the bullying. Nobody is helping, so we should step up and teach them a lesson. Telling them to stop hasn't worked, so we should take it up a level.
[Scared, Confused] What's going on?! Did a building catch on fire? How did- (gasp) No... no way...
Character Description
Clara has a medium-high-pitched voice. She is considered to be a protagonist though she sometimes acts as an antagonist. She is known to be a very high-class person and typically acts like your stereotypical medieval noblewoman in public. But in private, she has many hidden emotions that she has to cope with on a daily basis.
Character's Likeability
Clara won't be liked very much for a large portion of the series, but will get a "redemption arc."

[Concerned, With An Ulterior Motive] Are you sure you're all right, Micah? The mission leaves in an hour; if you're not well by then, people will look at me, and you, in disgust!
[Stressed] Stop blaming yourself! It's not your fault. (Stronger) It's not your fault. Don't believe these dull-witted thoughts. (Defeated) Why do I keep lying to myself?
[Younger, About 13 years old] (Snooty) With all due respect, ma'am, I don't think my father would approve of my being in a group with... (displeased) the lower sort, don't you agree?
Character Description
??? is an evil spirit who plays a large role in Alline's story. They play a large role for the antagonists directly related to prophecies, including the prophecies from the past. They are manipulative, selfish, and will do anything to get their way.
Character's Likeability
??? Will be a very dislikeable character who is known as the "true antagonist" of the story.
To Audition For This Character
To audition for this character, you must: Be ok with yelling
(Manipulative, convincing) They hurt you, they hurt your friends. They are the ones who ruined your life; don't they deserve to pay? Don't they deserve to die?
(Persuasive, manipulative) I'm your only friend. Friends trust each other. Do you not trust me? Because right now I don't think you trust me. (Angry) Why don't you trust me?
(Hurt) Are you implying that I'm hurting you? Look around you, look at everything that you've changed because of me. (Calm, manipulative) I'm helping you. You understand that, don't you, Lina Day?
Character Description
Lucas has a medium-pitched voice. He is a supporting antagonist who is underestimated very often due to his age and background. He originally joins the team of Antagonists with his best friend, Irene, after they rebelled against their community after it mistreated them.
Character's Likeability
Lucas is a likable, understanding person.

[Annoyed] I get that this is a good thing and all, but seeing the news talking about Irene and My supposed innocence is really starting to get on my nerves.
[Shocked] It's not... it can't... how is this possible? Nothing here is lining up, you've got to give us more context than that!

Irene has a medium-low to medium-pitched voice. She is a supporting antagonist who is underestimated very often due to her age and background. She originally joins the team of Antagonists with her best friend, Lucas, after they rebelled on their community after it mistreated them. (Note that Irene will not appear in Episode 1, but will have a supporting role later, starting in Episode 2 or 3.)

Irene will originally be slightly disliked, but will be liked later.

[Scoffing] (Mimicking) You should respect your elders and teachers. (Under her breath) Respect is earned, not given. (Angry) This is so frustrating!
Character Description
Andrew Kaiwell has a medium-low-pitched voice. He is a somewhat manipulative character who likes getting things done. He is very similar to ???, and has a direct and very important role with the prophecies as well.
Character's Likeability
Kaiwell will originally be liked, but will become controversial later.

[Casual, Convincing] If it were me, I would love for my children to take up this opportunity, to start a new life; to make your family one of the greatest in the kingdom. But that's up to you to decide.
[Surprised; With an ulterior motive] I promise you won't regret the decision ma'am. You will be given more information in two days; please be packed up by then.
Character Description
Violet has a high-pitched child and medium-high teen voice. She is one of the more innocent characters for a large portion of the story but eventually gets caught up in their family drama when she is older.
Character's Likeability
Violet will be a liked "innocent" character.
To Audition For This Character
Violet is a "tween" for the majority of the series, as her age spans from 8 to 14. I would like two to three takes per line, one or two of an 8 to 11 year-old-voice, and one of a 12 to 14-year-old voice.
[Excited] Henry and I can help! What do you need us to do?
Wow! That's so cool... (gasp) does that mean we're rich?
[Disappointed] (Talking to her mom after being sent to bed) But I want to stay up longer! Why do the big kids get to stay up late! And we have a guest! You said not to leave and be rude if we have a guest!
Character Description
Henry has a high-pitched child's voice. He is one of the more innocent characters in TAA. He is a normal, playful child who trusts people very easily and looks up to his older siblings
Character's Likeability
Violet will be a liked "innocent" character.
To Audition For This Character
Henry is a child for the majority of the series, as his age spans from 6 to 12. I would like two to three takes per line, one or two of a 6 to 9 year-old-voice, and one of a 10 to 12-year-old voice.
[Surprised, Confused] How did you know?!
[Excited] (Referencing A Book) Wow, just like in "The Prince Of Elgor?" Will we get to live in a castle too, Rindle?
[Confused, sad] But... I thought Ally was going to live here forever with us... isn't she, Aiden? When is she coming back?
Character Description
Marilyn has a medium-low-pitched voice. She is the adoptive mother of the Solis kids and is a very loving person. She allowed her children to be part of the prophecy because she believed that it would make them happy and successful.
Character's Likeability
Marilyn will originally be a liked, seemingly loving character, but will become disliked later.
[Speaking to Henry, a 6-year-old] (Sweet) You look very handsome, Henry. (Laugh) Yes, just as handsome as Rindle.
[Questioning, cautious] If your children had this opportunity, would you allow them to accept it?
I plan to cast multiple extras- at least two child and three teen/adult voices. If you audition for an extra, please have 2-3 takes in different voice pitches, whether it is from two types of child voices, a child voice with an adult voice, or anything else. I would love to hear a range of your voice, so I can let you specifically know what kind of character(s) you will voice if you are cast.
There are also a few other minor characters that I may ask you to voice instead. Make sure to let me know in the description if you only want to be an extra, though.
(Gossiping) Well, I heard that the prince has four siblings. Though some people are saying that he only has three because nobody has seen the twin sister.
(Scared, panicked) We've got to go now! The walls won't hold forever!
(Pondering) I wonder what the next prophecy will do? The last one was kind of a bummer, if I'm being honest. It didn't even do anything for the public!
Help with making thumbnails would be much appreciated! I would give you both the script and some of my ideas of how the thumbnail would look, then you can create the thumbnail from there.
