“Truth or Dare” is a serialized comedic audio drama that delves into the complexities of modern college life through the eyes of Blake Appleseed. During a game of truth or dare, Blake seizes the chance to kiss his long-time crush, Christian, an act that propels him out of the closet and into a whirlwind of self-discovery. As Blake navigates the challenges of his new reality, he and his friends confront issues of identity, relationships, and societal expectations. Their journey is further complicated when a determined politician threatens to shut down their college, adding external pressure to their personal struggles.

The roles of Simon and Victoria have been added!
Blake is an anxious but good-natured teenager who always tries to see the best in people, sometimes to a fault. His gullibility often leads him into tricky situations, but his heart is always in the right place. He’s a perfectionist who fears failure, hates getting dirty, and is terrified of bad grades. Despite his high anxiety and tendency to make mistakes, Blake dreams of becoming a chef, driven by his love for cooking and the desire to protect and care for others through his culinary creations.
(Nervously biting nails) “Oh no… I got a B-minus? That’s practically failing! My mom’s gonna kill me…”
“Come on, guys! Maybe Drake’s not that bad… I mean, everyone deserves a second chance, right?”
(Gagging while wiping his hands) “Ugh! Is that… mud? I need soap. Now.”
Matthew is Blake’s flamboyant, sarcastic best friend who embraces his gender non-conforming identity with confidence. With a love for shopping and a flair for drama, Matthew is sassy, quick-witted, and unapologetically himself. He’s the life of the party, always ready with a sarcastic remark or dramatic outburst. Beneath his flashy exterior, Matthew is fiercely loyal to his friends and isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in.
Ugh, I would rather die than wear that. Fashion is pain, honey, and I don’t feel a thing.
Blake, sweetie, if you don’t relax, those worry lines are gonna be permanent. And trust me, no one pulls off ‘stressed chic.’
Excuse you? I am the drama.
Jenna is the grounded realist of the trio, balancing out Blake’s anxiety and Matthew’s flamboyance with her dry wit and monotone demeanor. A goth musician who thrives on melancholy, she embraces a dark, sardonic sense of humor. Despite her seemingly apathetic attitude and love for all things grim, Jenna secretly adores cute things and has a surprising sweet tooth, though she keeps this softer side well hidden.
Oh wow. Another love song. How original. Wake me up when it’s over.
Pain is just proof that you’re alive. Guess that makes me the most alive person in this room.
…Is that a cat-shaped macaron? I need it
Christian is Matthew’s twin brother and the school’s golden boy quarterback. Out and proud, he’s the epitome of the all-American ideal—handsome, charming, and seemingly perfect in every way. Deeply rooted in his faith, Christian has a way of speaking that’s almost poetic, like a motivational speaker or an old mentor. He’s charismatic and optimistic, making him universally loved, though his polished persona sometimes masks his personal struggles.
Hey, God made us all perfectly imperfect. Just keep doing your best.
You know, every setback is just a setup for a comeback. That’s a promise.
You’re better than this, man. I see it. Even if you don’t.
Drake is the rebellious bad boy of the school and Christian's best friend, an odd yet inseparable duo. With a sharp tongue and a flirtatious nature, Drake lives by his own rules and doesn't care about authority. He talks like a greaser from the '50s and carries himself with a devil-may-care attitude, always getting into trouble but somehow charming his way out of consequences. His rough exterior hides a fiercely loyal heart, especially when it comes to Christian.
Rules? Never heard of ‘em.
You keep lookin’ at me like that, and I might just start thinkin’ you like me.
Life’s short, sweetheart. Break a few hearts, start a few fires.
Mimi is the quintessential popular girl—rich, fashionable, and unapologetically mean. She loves pink, boys, and always getting her way, using her sharp tongue to cut down anyone who crosses her. Underneath her perfect facade, however, Mimi faces intense pressure from her mother to be flawless, a burden that strains her emotionally. Her harshness is often a defense mechanism to protect herself from vulnerability.
Ugh, does she even own a mirror? Tragic.
The world revolves around me. Stay in orbit or get out of my way.
I… I don’t have time for this. Perfection doesn’t just happen, you know.
Joy is Mimi’s devoted best friend and follower, always by her side and willing to do whatever Mimi asks without question. She’s the ultimate yes-woman, seemingly without a mind of her own. However, Joy harbors a secret crush on Mimi, which complicates her blind loyalty. Her boyfriend, Luke, often disapproves of her submissiveness, but Joy is too afraid of losing Mimi’s friendship to stand up for herself.
You’re so right, Mimi! That’s the smartest thing I’ve ever heard.
I-I mean, if that’s okay with you, Mimi… I don’t want to, like, mess up your vibe or anything.
…She’s perfect.
Luke is Joy’s incredibly attractive but not-so-bright boyfriend. He’s the stereotypical pretty boy—charming, sweet, and simple-minded. Although he doesn’t always understand what’s happening around him, Luke is kind-hearted and genuinely cares for Joy, often trying (and failing) to encourage her to be more independent.
Wait… we have homework? Since when?
I don’t get why you follow her around, Joy. You’re cool on your own… I think.
Brains? Nah. But I got these guns, and that’s all I need.
Ace is the school’s ultimate schemer and hustler, always in the know and connected to everyone. If you need something, anything, Ace can get it for you, for a price. He’s charismatic, clever, and always a few steps ahead, constantly plotting his next big plan. Ace’s smooth-talking demeanor and resourcefulness make him both a friend and a foe, depending on who’s buying what he’s selling.
You need it? I got it. For the right price, of course.
Me? Shady? I prefer ‘resourceful.’
Pleasure doin’ business with ya. Remember, I never saw you… and you never saw me.
Victoria is cunning, ambitious, and ruthlessly intelligent. She was born into privilege as the heir to her family’s tech conglomerate, giving her a sense of entitlement and superiority. She believes that power is meant to be seized and that wealth and influence are the ultimate measures of success. Beneath her charming public persona, she’s manipulative and devoid of empathy, willing to sabotage anyone who stands in her way. Her ambition is matched only by her ego, leading her to view herself as untouchable. She’s fiercely competitive, especially against anyone she perceives as a threat to her family’s legacy.
However, Victoria is not just a spoiled heiress; she is a tech genius in her own right, with a knack for coding and hacking. She has a vast network of resources at her disposal and isn’t afraid to use her wealth and technology to control information, blackmail enemies, or orchestrate elaborate schemes. Her primary motivation is maintaining her family’s power and expanding their influence, believing it’s her destiny to shape the world in her image.
Influence isn’t earned; it’s bought—and I can afford anything.
Competition is just another word for people who don’t know their place.
I don’t play fair—I play to win.
Simon is fiercely loyal, intelligent, and meticulously organized. He serves as Victoria’s right-hand man, executing her orders without question and ensuring her plans run smoothly. Simon is calculated and strategic, always thinking several steps ahead, which makes him invaluable to Victoria’s ambitions. He’s discreet and trustworthy, guarding her secrets as if they were his own.
Though he shares Victoria’s pragmatic worldview, he lacks her cruelty. He sees his loyalty as a means to secure his own future, believing that aligning with Victoria is the smartest path to success. Simon is resourceful and unflinchingly loyal, yet he possesses a subtle moral compass that occasionally conflicts with Victoria’s ruthless tactics. Despite this, he never voices his objections, choosing to support her vision without hesitation.
Everything’s in place, Victoria—I left nothing to chance.
Every detail, every move: I’ve anticipated it all.
Your vision is my mission; I protect your secrets with my life.

*Say something you think would fit*
Kyle Appleseed is a bumbling, well-meaning stay-at-home dad who’s stuck living in his glory days from high school—if you can even call them glory days. Once the star of the football team, Kyle never quite figured out what came next. Now, his days are spent attempting DIY projects that always seem to go wrong, getting too invested in reality TV, and burning dinner while insisting he’s “got this.” Despite his constant failures, Kyle loves his family deeply and tries his best to connect with his son, Blake, though his advice usually comes out clumsy or outdated. Deep down, he’s terrified of being irrelevant and hopes to one day prove to himself—and his family—that he’s more than just a washed-up has-been.
Back in my day, I was almost a legend—now I’m just good at burning toast.
I may be a mess, but at least I’m our mess.
One day, I’ll fix something around here without breaking three other things first.
Lynda Appleseed is Blake’s no-nonsense, workaholic mother. She’s the glue holding the family together, even if her job often keeps her away from home. Stern, disciplined, and hyper-focused on success, Lynda demands excellence from those around her—especially Blake. However, beneath her stoic exterior lies a woman who fiercely loves her family and silently struggles with the guilt of not being there as often as she wants to be. Whenever she’s home, she goes out of her way to show her affection through small but meaningful gestures, like surprise home-cooked meals or late-night chats. While she often clashes with Kyle’s laid-back nature, she still respects his intentions and quietly wishes he’d regain his confidence.
Perfection isn’t a choice—it’s an expectation.
I work hard so Blake doesn’t have to struggle like I did.
Love doesn’t always look soft; sometimes it’s just being there when it counts.
Coach Baker is a gruff, old-school gym teacher with a heart buried under layers of grumbling sarcasm and old-fashioned ideals. He’s fiercely protective of his granddaughter and has absolutely zero patience for her boyfriend, whom he sees as a symbol of everything wrong with “kids these days.” A firm believer in discipline, hard work, and respect, Coach Baker constantly reminisces about “the good old days” when things were simpler and people “knew how to earn their stripes.” Despite his grumpy exterior, those who take the time to understand him see that his tough love comes from a place of deep care. His bond with his granddaughter is his soft spot, and he secretly fears the world is changing too fast for him to protect her from it.
Discipline builds character—whining builds nothing.
I’ve seen tougher kids in a daycare than your boyfriend.
Respect isn’t given, it’s earned—and you’re still overdrawn.
Keisha Madison is the sharp-tongued, quick-witted third member of the notorious mean girl trio with Mimi and Joy. Unlike her friends, Keisha’s cruelty often comes wrapped in clever sarcasm and biting humor rather than outright insults. She’s incredibly observant, using her sharp eyes and intelligence to find people’s weaknesses and exploit them with precision. However, beneath her icy exterior is a deeply insecure girl who hides her vulnerabilities behind a carefully crafted persona of indifference and control. Keisha secretly struggles with pressure from her ambitious family, who expect perfection in everything she does—academically, socially, and personally. While she acts like she doesn’t care about anyone, those closest to her know she’s fiercely loyal to her friends and might even be capable of kindness… if she ever lets her guard down.
I don’t need to try hard—this is just natural talent.
Your weakness? Easy. You care too much.
I don’t make the rules; I just make sure you remember them.
Mimi’s father is a stern, tightly controlled man whose presence alone makes rooms feel smaller. He speaks little and listens even less, measuring people the way others measure risks, with a calm that borders on unsettling. To the outside world, he’s just a disciplined, respectable figure, but behind closed doors his influence stretches far beyond what anyone suspects, his hands quietly buried in deals, favors, and arrangements that never leave a paper trail.
You will be home by eight, and if you aren’t, don’t bother explaining why because I won’t be interested.
I didn’t raise you to cut corners, so if something’s done wrong, you’ll do it again until it’s done right.
You can be angry with me all you want, but rules don’t exist to be liked, they exist to be followed.
Cake is a girl with an obsessive crush on Ace, the kind that goes far past harmless admiration and settles into fixation. She notices everything about him, remembers things he never meant to share, and frames it all in her mind as devotion rather than something unhealthy. To her, Ace isn’t just a person, he’s a goal, a certainty, and she’s convinced that sooner or later he’ll realize they’re meant to be together.
Ace doesn’t have to say it out loud for me to know when he needs me, I can see it in the way he breathes.
People think I’m overreacting, but they don’t pay attention the way I do, so how would they understand.
It’s not obsession if I’m right about us in the end.
Looking for someone who is getting with SFX, sound effects as well as a composer for the podcast
