Kyle Appleseed is a bumbling, well-meaning stay-at-home dad who’s stuck living in his glory days from high school—if you can even call them glory days. Once the star of the football team, Kyle never quite figured out what came next. Now, his days are spent attempting DIY projects that always seem to go wrong, getting too invested in reality TV, and burning dinner while insisting he’s “got this.” Despite his constant failures, Kyle loves his family deeply and tries his best to connect with his son, Blake, though his advice usually comes out clumsy or outdated. Deep down, he’s terrified of being irrelevant and hopes to one day prove to himself—and his family—that he’s more than just a washed-up has-been.
