The Endgame
350 Auditions is absolutely wild. We're still trying to comb through all the auditions and give everyone a fair shake, you should be hearing back from us in the next few days. Thanks again for your support everyone!
The Traveler's Guild is an audio drama series made to promote my Tabletop RPG system known as "Alterverse" (it hasn't launched yet if you look it up you'll see a gross NFT game, that's not us. This project has no connection or use of any AI generated content.) We're hoping to have the first episode ready to go alongside the Kickstarter for the game.
As for the story itself, The Traveler's Guild involves a group of college students who have found portals leading to other worlds unlike anything they've ever seen constantly opening up around their town. These students have access to strange abilities known as "Echoes", calling upon heroes from other worlds who have died to lend their strength when needed. They call themselves The Traveler's Guild as a coverup, using the name for a fake college RPG group that everyone believes them to be in.
The success of the Kickstarter and interest surrounding this story will determine if future episodes can be made as I love this story, but I would want to make sure I can do it while compensating everyone involved for their time and effort.
The art on the character profiles is still WIP, so it may be updated before the casting call ends, we're still finishing up a few things on our part.

Added pronunciation guides on character names for any character who's name is spoken (by themselves or another character). Also updated a few of the profiles with a bit more detail about the characters. Thank you to everyone who auditioned so far, you guys have been great.
(Pronounced: Brook Cath-er-ins)
Brooke is a chronic hard worker. She's studying to become a lawyer, on top of working to pay for her college, so that gives her a nice three hours or so to sleep most days. She doesn't typically suffer fools, and tends to have a more dry tone towards most people, but she shows her true colors when there's something at stake.
Brooke talks in a rather blunt manner, however when she accesses her Echo form, she takes on the mannerisms of a traditional western-movie outlaw. Having a convincing accent only for those lines is an important part of the character.
(sarcastic) Ah, yes. He killed someone to score an illustrious teaching gig at a community college. You cracked the case, Columbo.
(indignant) They’re lying. Something’s going on in there and we need to find out.
(Southern Accent) Are you kidding? If we hadn’t been a fat in your fire, y’alld’ve been belly up by now!
(Pronounced: Dah-ko-tah Layn)
Dakota is an extremely bubbly girl who almost never lets the sadness of the world keep her down. Some may view her as simple, or just misguided, but Dakota manages to keep everyone upbeat by always finding some kind of fun in whatever it is they do. She's also inseparable from her best friend Sonia (Soh-nya) who is deaf, as such Dakota ends up communicating Sonia's opinions to everyone else for her.
Dakota should have a voice that can seem warm and comforting, but can also be a bit more comedic, sounding like she's on the verge of tears over simple things. Every emotion should be pronounced, yet still genuine.
(excited) Hi Brooke, you look great today! (cheerful) Oh, and Sonia thinks you look great too.
(amazed) Oh my God. (excited) It’s a magic portal! Brooke, we can solve magical mysteries now!
(upset, but more akin to a child) You pinky swore! On both hands!
(Pronounced: Lew-k Rye-ner)
Luke is a cool guy. He never really pushes himself too hard because he has an image to maintain. He's a talented ice skater, and he's just finishing college at his parent's behest. While he may seem like nothing can phase him, he does care quite a bit about the people around him, just with a more subdued way of presenting it.
Luke should have a lower range voice, he should sound cool, but not monotone. He's certainly willing to be more expressive if he knows the situation is dire.
(defeated) We weren’t, Randall. No sense in lying. We were losing, badly.
(slightly annoyed, being a little coy) You’re not gonna be naked. You’ll just return to what you were wearing before. Like nothing ever happened. (digressing) I mean the cuts and scuffs will still be there, but besides that.
(panicked, gritting teeth trying to lie) Yep! We were organizing shelves. Nothing to see here.
(Pronounced: Rand-el Beck-er)
Randall Becker is the new professor at the college. He's an odd fellow, and several of the students have rumored that he's responsible for the death of the previous professor whom he's replacing. In actuality though, he's a hero from another world, just trying to stop all sorts of alternate worlds from merging with this one.
Professor Becker has been a hero for many years, so very few things phase him at this point. He's the mentor figure of the group, but some times he can forget that they're all new to this. He sometimes has the mannerisms and delivery of a mad scientist, but more subdued. Like a mad scientist that's settled down and wants to raise a family, but also wouldn't say no to another trip to the lab.
(proud) That’s me. Professor Randal Becker, but sometimes I handle things outside of teaching college physics. (pause, then a hasty correction) Not murder though. I didn’t do that.
(fascinated) We certainly weren’t expecting *both* of you to somehow acquire an Echo. That’s unheard of!
(overjoyed) Fantastic! That sounds terrible!
As this is a story delivered almost entirely through audio, the Narrator serves as a DM of sorts. Describing the action occurring and the locations the characters are in. They may have the most lines of any of the characters in the episode. I'm specifying a male voice actor because the narrator is a specific character in the narrative who is later revealed.
Sonia is Dakota’s best friend. She’s congenitally deaf, so she speaks through sign language. Dakota is looking to become an interpreter, so she follows Sonia around practically everywhere.
(foreboding) Without hesitation, Dakota enters the portal, completely vanishing from the classroom.
(somber) Dakota stands there, watching as the three try their hardest to help her yet end up more and more bloodied, with little to show for it. Yet as she thinks of what to do, she hears a voice call out to her.
The main jobber of this pilot episode. He should have a rather deep voice and speak like someone shit-talking you in an online game. He's the lord of the Underworld, and enjoys knowing how much stronger he is than others.
(bragging) Okay come on. You guys *gotta* be giving me softballs right? I feel bad at how hard I’m bitching you guys out.
(amazed) You saw the beating those guys got right? You sure you want that, guy?
Bonnie is Brooke's Echo. She's a cowboy outlaw who is lending her strength to her. This is a fairly minor role, so if you applied for Brooke, feel free to give this a shot as well. She has a strong southern accent, and should always speak with a rugged determination that shows she would never give up.
(concerned, yet still tough) Hey, y’aint really turning in already are ‘ya?
Maybe so. Unless’ve course you’d wanna partner up with a gal like me. Then y’might have a chance.
Prince Halceon is Brooke's Echo, this is a minor role that doesn't appear after he lends his power to her. He's just a suave-sounding prettyboy who tries to make his demeanor as calming as possible.
I know it’s been tough to ride this wave, but now you’ve got help.
Hey, it’s all good. You and I are gonna wash away their pain. If you’re willing to partner up with me, of course.
(proud) You’re getting the hang of it. The water’s just right.
Snelvin is a joke character. He's just the annoying guy in class. He should be given a nasaly voice that makes you not want him around.
Oh! Oh! I know! Pick me!
(celebrating) Yummers. Another right answer for Snelvin Dollarstore!
Leann is Brooke's mom. She's very caring towards her two children, but she also can sometimes get caught up in chasing glory or fun.
Oh, you kids don’t get it. (Wistfully) It’s a shame real romantics like that are extinct these days.
(Reassuring) Absolutely. Schoolwork isn’t everything honey. No sense in going to college if you can’t party.
Brooke's younger brother, while she's in her second year of college, he's a few months into high school. He's easily excited, but just like his sister he's fairly smart.
(halfway joking) Oh yeah, speaking of Professors, have you met the murderer yet?
(grossed out) Yeah, that’s super predatory.
(accusing) So, the old teacher winds up dead under “mysterious” circumstances, this guy shows up two days later and you think he didn’t do it?
While we have an artist we're working with, we'd be overjoyed to have more background or character artists. In a similar vein as the voice actors, this will be unpaid at least for the pilot, but assuming we are able to fund future episodes, we'd love to work with you in a more official capacity in the future.
