Drop of a Dream: Trailer for Upcoming Webcomic
Project Overview
EI: Emotional Intelligence is joining up with Can't Buy Happiness and Switch S for a triple comic collab! Drop of a Dream is a comedy/action AU where the leading cast of these comics team up in a Magical Girl-styled story arc. As an author of EI, I am looking for an actor who can capture the essances of these characters. We've included a vocal reference my partner and I belive fit their sound in combination to their personalities. This project specifically will be done with a group of artists and directors hosted on Discord, so do be sure you have an account to communicate to us with.

Character Personality:
Pronounced "Ace", he is a 13-year-old AI child who prefers to spend his time in total isolation. He'll go out of his way to make himself unapproachable, too. Due to his past experiences, Aiecd has poor social skills. He is cynical, unsociable, manipulative, and he's very much aware of it. His personality is that of the phrase "too mature for his own age" while still being a child himself. He's an emotional kid, so he can express a wide array of emotions, though he does his best to suppress the "likeable" side of himself. He makes a conscious effort to level his voice out to purposefully sound distant and cold, while occasionally tossing in a healthy dose of flippant arrogance.

1- Embarrassed; ashamed and irritated by the need to be a part of this group, he directs this comment with a disgruntled and disappointed tone in his voice.
"You are so cookie-cutter right now I’m surprised you’re not a gingerbread."
2- He sounds empty, distant, or maybe even hopeful of the past. Recalling these memories seem therapeutic, in a way. "Someone very close to me. She was there from my very beginning..." He pauses briefly, "...She’s seen my worst and my best." Reality sets in and he becomes upset at the situation he finds himself in. Aiecd feels a flurry of burns lighting up his nerves in bundles, like hot adrenaline rushing right through his arms. Teeth clenched, Aiecd directs his ire to the force that harmed his loved one. Still, he knows his place and he dare not challenge said force. With a strained voice, he says "And she deserves none of this suffering."
3- Arguing with an important figure in his life, Aiecd is feeling an emotional rollercoaster. He is progressively getting more upset as he speaks, noting how unfairly he's been treated, and no one acknowledges it. He's stretched himself thin trying to play too many parts, and he's tired of it. Desperate, even.
"If I'm nice, I'm annoying! If I'm quiet, I'm a target! If I'm mean, I'm dangerous! How do you want me to act? I just don’t understand!"

Aiecd makes himself act stiff, but he is an expressive character! *Also anyone of any gender is welcome to attempt for Aiecd, so may the best actor come forth!*

Pronounced "Shay", he is an 11-year-old robot child. He is lively and sociable, but not very bright—though that can be seen as an oversight exercised by his programming and lack of life experience. Sheei is interested in anything that is interesting. His attention span is short, but it will turn infinite when he has to focus on someone he cares about. Sheei is a very loving and carefree social butterfly who is as perceptive as he is excitable. He has a keen sense of reading human motivation and patterns while being unable to describe why. Despite this advantage, he can't explain his "hunches" very well, which leads to misunderstandings, which he hates!

1- Someone has just taken interest in one of Sheei's many interests. He feels an incomprehensible tugging in the depths of his brain that encourages him to expulse as much information as possible so that his new friend could learn about his favorite thing too while wasting as little time as possible. Sheei is very considerate like that. "Right! So, in battle if I find a minimum of four or five clues, I can summon my Five-Star Megaphone! It’s kinda like a cool giant speaker thing that turns my words into attacks! Think, like, if a lawyer really hated you and his words hurt worse than a middle schooler’s insults."
2- Tired and confused, his body is yearning for the day to end despite his desperate wishes to stay upright. He manages a weary smile that speaks lovingly of lost wisdom, of a time before his own beginning.
"Your mouth is smiling, but your eyes aren't. I wanna say I could tell from experience, but I don't really have that yet, huh?"
3- What felt like a choking sensation froze Sheei's core. He reached out to grab his friend's hand. He doesn't have the words to put it all together, but he can tell when something is wrong. Sheei's eyes are wild and there is a desperate edge to his voice- he is lost and uncertain. There are fewer inexplicable sensations that lead to a sudden contemplation of one's life. "I'm…sorry? I don't know why I did that. It was like- like- is "felt" the right word? I don't know how to say it! It was… like something bad was happening."

Character Personality:
37-year-old Leon Ray is a reasonable guy, but he was seriously tested when his robot child took on a crime fighting career as a magical boy. It's okay, he thinks it's a lot, too.
As a person, Leon is laid back, comfortable, and encouraging. He's a friendly guy who likes to make sure everyone is well and safe, meanwhile his own self-care takes a back seat. Not only his self-care, but his own care-care that it's almost ridiculous. He can be so lazy to the point of obliviousness, and yet still adept enough to recognize preventable harm and pursuing humane alternatives. Leon is a very intelligent man who can't time manage or organize much to save his life, and just as above, he's a leading manager at a renowned robotics company. Leon is very much a two-in-one kinda guy, an ebb-and-flow, or to-and-fro. As such, his voice can be dynamic as well, ranging from raspy-tired to stop-that-dad-you're-embarrassing-me.

1- Leon tilts his head and touches a forefinger to his lip, pensively. "Father and son, huh? I can see that," he says, in a warm/playful tone.
2- The unfamiliar feeling of a worrying parent shows up at full force. "Of course I trust you! I’m just checking to make sure you can trust yourself. I want your judgment to be based on something you can justify. As long as you can reason, you’ll be safe." His own inexperience of looking up to a father figure leaves him sitting in a pool of his own insecurity. What is the right course of action? Should he put his foot down? What would his father have done in his case?
3- He's frustrated- the answer is right THERE, and she won't accept it. Why won't she just do a selective memory wipe? Why she wants to do everything the hard way? He can't imagine this is for some sadistic reason either, but still. The frustration of past arguments find its way back into his throat, but it lacks the same edge of the past. "This could all be fixed if we just delete those memories," he glares.

"Leon did not ask for it, but he also sort of did, so now he needs help to sort of figure it out!" is a statement Leon would agree to.
