  • Auditions Closed - Next Steps

    Hey All,

Auditions officially closed just over an hour ago, with 374 submissions in total. I’m deeply honored by the level of interest and the care you brought to your reads, especially given how little context you had to work with. Thank you for lending your voices to the strange and layered world of Third Level.

Early next week, I’ll open a second, invite-only project. It’s already built—just needs a few final touches. This next round will include script excerpts and deeper story context, giving you more to work with as we move toward final casting.

These next steps will move quickly. If you’re invited, please be sure you’re available for all ten episodes and any necessary rerecordings or pickups.

To everyone who auditioned: thank you again. If you don’t receive an invite to the next round, please know this is not a reflection of your talent. I was listening for very specific vocal textures and emotional tones for each role.

I look forward to hearing more from many of you soon and on future projects.

  • Three Days to Go

As the final days of auditions approach, I am carefully mapping the next steps, including the second round of auditions and the timeline moving forward.

Though I don't have answers as of yet, I want to say that I hope people continue to audition and show interest in Third Level. The project is a marathon, so I hope those that move forward with me are patient and diligent.

Thank you for everything you’ve already given. I’m honored to walk this path with you, and I can’t wait to see where it leads.

  • New Role Posted!

Check out the new role. If you've ever dreamed of playing a smarmy anchor who controls the flow of information and the prevailing narrative, audition for Margrove.

  • Twoish Days into the Project

    Hey Everyone,

Thank you all for your auditions. You guys are bringing some incredible takes. In just two and a half days, there have amassed seventy-seven auditions, and I am working to sort through them all.

I also added a new character—Elias Varen. There is a lot of room for creative interpretation with this character because he is mysterious.

I am working to contact everyone who auditioned directly and to be as responsive as possible. If I haven't contacted you about your audition or you feel that perhaps I overlooked you, please message me.

With eight days to go, there are bound to be more incoming, and I don't want to miss anyone.

Keep bringing the awesome takes. The next round will provide scenes so that you have more to work with when delivering the lines.

    Thanks,

    Wes

Elias is an early antagonist in the series. He is prominent in the first three episodes. He presents himself as a spy for an unknown entity.

  • What are you three doing?

  • I saw them. They were looking at…sensitive information.

  • Your new office is great. It’s quiet as a tomb.

If you want to flex your smarmy, propaganda, news anchor chops, then Margrove is the role for you. Margrove controls Harbinger's narrative. He is charming, narcissistic, and manipulative.  This is your 24-hour news anchor. I've posted an extended monologue so that you can really lean into the role.

  • Now you must wonder why the famed Captain Braline wasn’t at the negotiations. It’s very simple. War. (dramatic pause) We’ve known for more than a decade now that Captain Robert Braline needs a war. (beat) While Namar, Vascal, Director Sojourn, and the Struvens strive for peace with Raman. Braline sits in his Ivory Tower, above us all, looking down. (beat) We should rejoice in the efforts of our leaders. Countless lives are needlessly lost daily. I think we know who is perpetuating the conflict. The one in luxury. The one who turned the hospitality cruiser into a machine of war. (beat) We must stay strong. We must keep our eyes on the end of this conflict, standing together against those who oppose peace. (extended pause) Margrove, signing off.

  • Five years before the fall of Robert Braline, the plot to dismantle the legendary Captain is already in motion. Benevolent and sinister forces alike move their pieces across a global chessboard — each vying for control, each cloaked in purpose.

Character is a soft-spoken guide for a protagonist. He's older but not old. He's wise and guarded.

  • Easy there, Sheila. You’ve had quite a journey.

  • Relax. I’m just trying to free you from this Harbinger Delivery Crate without hurtin’ ya.

  • Yep, those are the questions everyone asks. (beat) Name’s Lachlan. I’m what you might call the designated greeter.

Ranges from adult male and female. This is perfect from someone who would like voice credit but may not have the time commitment for a main character.

  • Pardon me, Jensen. It seems you are experiencing unease. Please come with me.

Character arc begins as sharp, skeptical, and pragmatic. She’s the only one taking the job seriously, but her patience is wearing thin. Completes with a fundamental rework of self with renewed purpose.

  • (sighs) You do realize that this is the least important job in the entire UPO, right?

  • And where are you digging that's so exhilarating?

  • And you can't tell me that the entire UPO runs parallel to Director Sojourn's lunch order. (beat) How did you even get that, anyway?

Character arc begins as conspiratorial and excitable. Sees patterns in everything and believes the UPO is hiding something big. Completes with circuitous, conditioned bliss.

  • Mira, please. (beat) We have access to everything—classified reports, diplomatic requests, encrypted messages. (beat) The Third Level is where the real secrets are buried!

  • You two aren't looking in the right places. You know the UPO has dirt. You just have to dig.

  • Right here! Director Sojourn's lunch order. (beat) Crispy chunk salad from Vinnicio's. It's been the same every day for the last two years. But three days ago? Sliced turkey and cranberry.

  • It’s not what they find. It’s the trail they leave looking. (beat) If this is going to work, we need the UPO out of the way. It’s not like before. Kinsey’s tech is too ingrained now. Harbinger, Border, the UPO—Cruiseline owns them.

  • Hard to say. They passed the first test, so there is potential. With the heat they’ll get for this, I doubt I can use them.

  • Good. It’s coming together.

  • Theo. All we get down here is low-level junk. It’s not like the fate of the galaxy hinges on chair requests. (feigning shock) Oh, look—Samira Boring Job on the tenth level needs a new Cyberpen. They don't even use those anymore.

  • You have no idea. I haven't sorted a single com all week. I can feel your stare, Mira. But honestly? This job is so useless, no one even cares.
