Introduction: Hi all! My name is Dish, and I'm in search of a handful of talented and excited voice actors to bring a pilot episode to life!
Goal: This project is a pilot episode of an animated series that I hope to continue for many episodes to come! As such, all voice actors will be paid according to the number of lines provided for the pilot alone. However, should the series continue, voice actors will be made into official voice cast and paid accordingly!
Brief Synopsis: A struggling drummer with family issues and an experienced music producer with bills to pay meet and form a musical duo! Slice-of-life hijinks ensue!
What I'm Looking For: I'm excited to work with talented voice actors who are able to provide a WAV file of their lines within a timely manner! A professional studio is not necessary, but a reputable studio microphone (think Blue Yeti and above) and a quiet recording room with zero to minimal background/bass noise is ideal!
What You Can Expect: As this is my very first animated project, I take care to do things as smoothly and simply as I can. Though deadlines will be given, I understand that life happens and am willing to give extensions if needed! This is a personal project made on my own dime! Don't feel afraid to reach out to me with any questions or concerns!
Payment: Major Roles, which have the bulk of the script to record, will be paid a onetime payment of $50 USD. Minor roles, which usually have between 1-3 lines, will be paid a onetime payment of $10 USD. All payments will be made through Paypal.
File Format: Auditions will be expected to adhere to the following format:

I've finally made my final choices for the remaining cast and will be contacting those actors either Wednesday or Thursday this week!
Let me tell you, narrowing down to just one person was extremely hard! All of you are so talented and bring something unique to the character I never considered before!

First off...WOW! I was not expecting so many awesome and talented VAs to submit an audition for Thigh Gap! Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to record an audition for this project!
As you may have noticed, over the past few days I've begun to shortlist those I feel match closest to the vision (auditory perception?) I have for these characters. If you happen to be one of them, congrats! That means your audition will be reviewed again over the course of the coming days and you will be seriously considered for the role!
I will send out another update on the day before I make known my final choices. When will that be? Uh....sometime later this week if all goes according to plan, heh!

Character Description: Ladle is transgender young woman in her mid 20s who is also a solid percussionist. A college dropout, she left home to make her way in the world, preferably as a drummer for a band.
Voice Description: I am very open on what voice Ladle has. All I prefer is for the voice actor to be a transgender female herself.

Character Description: Margo is a chill, laid-back Chicana in her 30s who works part time at a coffee shop to pay her bills. She spends a lot of her free time producing music in her one-bedroom apartment and working on any music production gigs she can get online.
