The previous incarnation of this project is here: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/them-s-fightin-herds-story-mode-fandub We're still getting started, and all of the other roles have been cast for, but there was a little bit of difficulty in casting Oleander, so I'm sending out another call for someone who can match her voice. I've upped the amount I'm willing to pay for all of her lines to $200. I hope that's enough - this is just a project of passion for me, and I won't be making any profit from it. This project, as all of my projects are, is financed by my day job.
In case you're not able to see the original project page, production of Them's Fightin' Herds was canceled, and no more active production of the game will happen. To pay tribute to this game, I'd like to dub its story mode (only Arizona's chapter exists), the Book of Lore, the tutorial (taught by Oleander), and a selection of fan comics.
Remember, I'm looking for the audition that most closely matches the original voice lines in the game. "Sing" with the same inflection and intonation as Alexa Kahn, hitting the same "notes" (pitches). Then, for the story mode line, you can interpret the line in your way. The more closely you match the original performance, the more likely it is that I'll be able to cast you.
I think I'll make my final decision either Thursday or Friday. For the rest of you who don't get the role, I would still love to have you on in some minor roles in story mode, so I'll reach out to you individually once I've cast Oleander. Thank you!
My apologies if you saw an earlier update saying submissions were closed. I was mistaken, and had set the date differently than what I thought I had.
My next task is to listen to all of the auditions and pick one of you. This will be hard, as there were multiple quality auditions. I will also seek the opinions of other fans who have played the game and are familiar with Oleander's voice. Like I've said before, please send me a private message if you would be interested in picking up any minor roles in story mode, just a few lines each. If you do, I will almost certainly be able to give you an incidental character or two.

Looks like I've received most of the auditions I'm going to get for Oleander. Thank you to all of you! By coincidence - meaning I didn't know it at the time I set the deadline - it looks like the final Them's Fightin' Herds update (version 6.0) will happen tomorrow, and the final characters, Nidra and Baihe, will be released. So that will be exciting.

Oleander has a lot of words. I counted them up, and it's approximately 840 words in the Book of Lore, story mode, and a selection of fan comics. The tutorial was 10,958 words for Oleander before they added Stronghoof. With Stronghoof, Nidra, and Baihe, the tutorial will be slightly over 11,000 words.
