The Winfreys (Pilot)
Project Overview
Hello! I need some help with my debut pilot of my series, The Winfreys.
The Winfreys is an adult animated dramedy series that takes place in the fictional Bay Area city of Valisto, CA, located somewhere between Bodega Bay and San Francisco. The mood could be described as Bluey mixed with Bojack Horseman... with no anthro animals.
It includes a very diverse cast of characters including but not limited to ones that are LGBTQ+, POC, and disabled.
Please note that your role in the pilot may not secure you a spot in the actual series if it ends up happening.

Oliver, who is sometimes called Olly, is the father figure of the Winfrey family. He is in his early 40s, and is very caring and family oriented. He likes to experience life in the moment and to the fullest, and is a people person.
He used to be a stay-at-home father, but now he puts his psychology degree to good use and works as a therapist since his children have gained independence.

Elena is the mother figure of the Winfrey family. She is very hard working, confident, sassy, and family oriented.
She works as an employment and labor lawyer. She has been married to Oliver for 18 years, and had a child with him a couple years after their marriage.

Jordan Winfrey is the youngest child of the Winfrey family. She is usually pretty introverted and stubborn, though she does love her family and the people closest to her. She is also autistic.
They are a junior at J Baker High School and the lead singer and guitarist of her rock bank, The TmbrWulvz.

Kavik (pronounced kuh-veek) is a sweet and caring person. Though he is slightly shy and introverted, he is a people person and knows how to interact with people around him. He is very organized and a very hard worker, though he tends to overwork himself and overthink in general.
He managed to graduate a couple years early in high school, and is now a mechanical engineer at Quentin Tech. He lost his parents to a terrible accident as a toddler, and his grandmother had been raising him ever since.

Marissa is Bora’s adoptive daughter and “heir to the throne” of Succubus Island. She is a very sweet, caring, and high spirited person. She is also autistic.
She was born in Italy into a mafia family, who immigrated to America for business purposes when she was a toddler. However, an incident involving them left Marissa completely abandoned, but was fortunate enough to have been taken in by the foster care system. At the age of eleven, she was adopted by Bora.

Bora is Kavik’s* grandmother, Marissa’s adoptive mother, and the owner and founder of Succubus Island. She is in her early 70s, and is very family and business oriented and enjoys the little things in life, and she is very loving and caring.
She was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, but moved to Valisto to start fresh and to start up her cafe. She has always been a single mother, having her daughter via insemination.

Tamika, who goes by Tami, is very sweet, kind, understanding, caring, and empathetic, though a bit naive. She is Jordan’s girlfriend; they've been friends since eighth grade and started dating during sophomore year. She is very studious and often studies alongside Jordan and helps her with her homework. She one day wants to be a school counselor.
