The Wanderer
Project Overview
Hello. I'm Blake Brown and I am the Director and Writer of The Wanderer. The Wanderer is a Horror-Mystery Drama that gives a little creepiness while still having some very emotional and drama filled moments between characters.
Originally what we had planned was to have all characters be shown on screen or be live action and voiced by the actual actor. But now, the plan is to have our villain, The Wanderer be played by an actor and then voiced by a voice actor. So for The Wanderer we will have a body actor, playing the physique of The Wanderer and a Voice Actor providing the voice for The Wanderer.
We also need a female actor to provide the voice for Mrs. Dean, the mom of James and Oliver Dean and the wife of Mr. Dean.

For The Wanderer, I don't want him to be compared to other horror show antagonists. His voice range is low-mid, but mostly low. During some of the lines I would like to hear a growl in his voice.
The Wanderer isn't human. He is a mutant Demon. So, I don't want his voice to sound human. In post we will be putting effects over the voice, but I would still like the voice to be mostly the actor who is making the non-human sounding voice.
EXCERPT FROM EPISODE 6, SCENE 13
MUTANT DEMON EMEL
We just keep getting seen.THE WANDERER
We have bigger problems. James, and the group are communicating with each other.MUTANT DEMON EMEL
How?THE WANDERER
James found a way to use vocal projecting to project his voice over to the group. They are communicating without me knowing.MUTANT DEMON EMEL
And now you do know.THE WANDERER
We will pretend we don't.MUTANT DEMON EMEL
Is that really the best way to get around this.THE WANDERER
Don't underestimate me.He walks closer to Mutant Demon Emel and stares into his eyes. He looks over to James.
THE WANDERER (CONT'D)
(to James)
You are being watched. Don't try anything.(James just looks at The Wanderer. He looks away and The Wanderer walks off.)
EXCERPT FROM EPISODE 5 SCENE 4
(The Wanderer is waiting for Wynn, his boss, to come for a talk.)
WYNN
How is our group?THE WANDERER
We already kidnapped a key player from them, and now another is turning into a mutant.WYNN
It seems like our plan is going better than we thought.THE WANDERER
The mutation was never suppose to happen before.WYNN
It's the core that they have. It came from the 1800s.THE WANDERER
And that is what we want, but we can't get it because they are keeping us away.WYNN
This mutation that is happening in one of the members will get us closer to The Core.THE WANDERER
Okay. We will get it. Just, we don't know when.WYNN
You better.(Wynn's voice fades away and The Wanderer looks in the direction of where Wynn was. He realizes he was never there.)
THE WANDERER
Spirit. Wasn't real. Dammit!(The Wanderer vanishes into a puff of smoke.)
Mrs. Dean is the mother of Oliver and James Dean. She is a character that is only shown in the form of a voice. Like she is off in another room. We never actually see her physical appearance so her expressions, and feelings have to be shown through the way the actor performs her lines. Mrs. Dean is 45 Years old. So try to aim around that age while auditioning. She appears in 3 out of the 8 episodes in Season 1.

OLIVER
Imagine getting targeted by a serial killer.MRS. DEAN (OFF SCREEN)
You're getting targeted by a serial killer!OLIVER
(to himself)
Shit.
(to his mom)
No, we were just talking about it!MRS. DEAN (OFF SCREEN)
Okay, well thank you for that clarification.
