Project Overview
Synopsis
This short is set in a world where superheroes are an average part of everyday society, so much so that industries based on the commodification of superheroes have arisen. This short is meant to give us a peek into the world through a fake documentary revolving around the event that birthed the modern superhero: The Rending of Chicago. To the average person, the story is short and sweet, the heroes fight the bad guy and throw him beyond bars! But what happens when the glossy exterior gives way and reveals how deep the rot runs?
All of the returning main roles will be paid in longer future videos!
IMPORTANT INFO (this will establish context for some of the terms and lore of the world.)
The Dogpack:
An elite group of covert operatives made up of enhanced, mechanized, or incredibly skilled individuals. They were formed 2 years before the flashfire war and were used to quickly and quietly remove enemy-enhanced assets before they could enter the battlefield. their existence is part of the reason that the flash fire war happened. They played an instrumental role in this war, killing over 76 confirmed enhanced civilians. they were disbanded during the end of the flash fire war and all members were honorably discharged.
Flash Fire War:
After the Rending of Chicago, enhanced people and the evogene were made known to the world. After a slow period of recovery, governments all over the world rushed to find ways to weaponize enhanced individuals. This incredible rise in tension led to war breaking out between the United States and Iraq. This war only lasted a year and caused incredible amounts of civilian death and destruction. Because of this, historians refer to this period as the flash fire war. it is now a war crime to knowingly field enhanced individuals on the battlefield.
The Rending of Chicago:
The historical name for the two-week period in which Rampage destroyed 3/4 of Chicago. This event is also sometimes referred to as the rampage incident.
Halcyon Power Hour:
An hour-long block that plays from 7-8 pm on ETTV where a series of animated and live-action shows following the true (and untrue) stories of The Wall.
Requirements and Information
You need to be 17 years old or older
A Discord Account is needed to join our production server and receive updates on the project.
There are plenty of fight scenes - yelling may be needed
Feel free to audition for multiple roles
There is potential for these roles to be paid in the future!
Mic quality mustn't have background noise and your voice should be clear.
Helps to be able to sing (just in case).

Steel Sentinel is the first member and de facto leader of the Wall. He graduated from MIT at 11 with two doctorates in engineering and physics before disappearing from the public eye. By the time he reappeared, he was a rich, charming, brilliant 21-year-old man. Not long after a mysterious new superhero named the Steel Sentinel appeared and began fighting crime in Chicago, he managed to maintain his secret identity until The Rending of Chicago where he revealed his identity to the world and warned any supervillains to stay away from his city. He is incredibly by the book, believing in moral codes and the law above almost anything else... He's serious and has deep convictions, even if they aren't in the right places and people.

Character Overview
Kate Addams was your average idealistic curious 15-year-old girl when her whole life was flipped upside down. One day, while cleaning the attic, she discovered a box that belonged to her mother. upon opening it, she found a stash of superhero paraphernalia and souvenirs, along with a costume. Looking through the box, Kate discovered that her mother was the superhero Miss Masque! She confronts her mother about this, asking for her blessing and training to become the next Miss Masque. Her mother tells her that the world no longer needs Miss Masque and refuses, causing the young Kate to go out in costume on her own. After a near-death experience, Kate hangs up the mask to focus on graduating from college. She's approached by her mother to take on the mantle again, which Kate agrees to hesitantly. She's an incredibly efficient hero and soldier, working with the US government to protect the world from threats that ordinary people are not ready to face. She's a realist, with an inflation for tactics. She's analytical-minded both in and out of combat and level-headed enough to have full control over her emotions.

Character Overview
Francesca was a simple journalist who had gained a reputation for uncovering corporate corruption and illegal experimentation. One day, however, her luck ran out during an investigation, leading to her coming into contact with a mystical artifact that had been smuggled out of Brazil. This ancient obsidian chain immediately reacted to her, fusing to her left arm and imbuing her with the ability to travel between the spirit world and corporate world as well as allowing her to manifest shadow spirit chains. With this new ability, Obsidian focused on ensnaring the powerful and rich, chaining them to the consequences of their actions. Her personality in costume is cold, calculating, and in control. Out of costume, she's more relaxed and very in tune with her emotions but is still somewhat aloof from people she isn't close with.

Annie Bishop was an average college student on a history trip to Ireland when she came into contact with the ancient amulet of Cu Chulainn. Upon coming into contact with the Amulet, her body's innate magical attunement activated, transporting her spirit to another realm. Here, she met an ancient being who granted her the ability to control the forces of attraction and repulsion on a small scale. She used this ability most of her life to make small things more convenient, until one day she used it to stop a murder by causing a gun to fly out of the assailant's hand, then return toward their head and knock them out. After this, she knew she had the power to change people's lives for the better! She is a kind, positive, and overall very caring person. She loves to talk with people and usually attempts to stop a villain with minimal violence.

One fated night, she bids on a panther mask of mysterious origin that was said to be passed down through many generations and tribes in Africa. A mysterious organization manages to outbid her and takes the mask. Mahari however refuses to let this artifact be stolen away and alongside a group of mercenaries she hired, she manages to steal the mask back. Upon holding the mask, she heard a voice calling to her to put the mask on. She did, meeting the avatar of order and was chosen to be Fury, sorceress of order! She's a serious, stoic woman who uses her mastery over the laws of magic to combat forces that threaten humanity.

Character Overview
Archibald Wandraske (Are-chi-bald van-draw-ski) Is the last of the original members of the wall to join. He was born as a third generation of American German immigrants who had come to America after the 1st world War. Archibald grew up on a family-owned farm and had always been the center of strange occurrences within his household. He had a strong fascination with outer space always feeling that there was something more beyond his family's farm, and at some point within his early childhood, Archibald had grasped onto something up above in the sky one night. with power he didn't know he had, he pulled it down to earth. This object was a meteorite of gravitonium. This event would lead to the founding of a company under the Wandraske family name which was eventually taken over by a much older Archibald who had used his powers to bring even more prosperity to his business. Archibald, like his father, was opportunistic and intelligent, but growing up with his incredible powers also made him supremely arrogant. When the rampage incident had started, and heroes with powers like his own began to appear, he saw an opportunity for fame and glory. His taste for heroism is what got him to stay and he eventually begrudgingly joined the wall.

Sayyad Fadel was a young man in the United States military when he awoke his evo gene for the first time. Overwhelmed by his incredibly heightened senses, he trained with specialized equipment to be able to control it. With this new gift, he became the perfect special operative. He, Miss Masque, All American Hero, and a few other members formed The Dogpack (see "important Info" in project bio). He stayed with The Dogpack for the entire Flash Fire war (see "important Info" in project bio) before being honorably discharged and returned home. Seeing the corruption in his city, he became a vigilante for a year before officially joining the wall as The Jakal. He's a serious, no-nonsense soldier who prefers to end conflicts quickly. Has mercy on those who surrender, but will go for kill shots if need be. He is a kind man behind his wartorn exterior
