The Veil Between — Final Casting Call
The Veil Between is an original fantasy/drama audio series centered around a hidden world of supernatural beings known as Echos, ancient entities connected to gods, power, memory, and human emotion. Bound to human Wielders through mystical pendants, these Echos slowly begin reuniting in modern-day New Orleans as tensions rise between the gods, the Echos, and the human world around them.
What begins as a story about teenagers trying to survive school, relationships, grief, pressure, and identity slowly unfolds into something far larger, involving prophecy, manipulation, power, loyalty, and the collapse of worlds hidden from humanity for centuries.

This is the FINAL main casting call for the project. Most major roles have already been cast, and production is actively moving forward with scripts, editing, demos, worldbuilding, and team organization already in progress.
The remaining roles listed are extremely important long-term characters connected to future plots, lore, relationships, and major storylines throughout the series.

One of the heirs and future successors to the Goddess of Illusions. Charming, witty, and difficult to fully understand. Sylrix often hides deeper emotions behind jokes and sarcasm, making him seem carefree when he’s actually constantly observing everyone around him.

One of the heirs and often considered the most logical and disciplined among them. Chelon values strategy, structure, and clear thinking over emotional decisions. He can come across cold or overly critical at times, but he genuinely wants the people around him to succeed and survive.

Mavren is confident, intelligent, and naturally authoritative. She has a strong presence and rarely second-guesses herself. While she can come across intimidating, she’s deeply protective of the people she cares about and hates feeling powerless.

An Echo connected to destruction. Kaelen is highly disciplined and emotionally guarded, often struggling to balance her protective instincts with the dangerous powers she carries. She doesn’t speak often, but when she does, people listen.

Thessan prefers distance over emotional attachment and usually keeps to herself. She’s quiet, intelligent, and difficult to read emotionally. Despite that, she notices far more than people realize and quietly cares about the people close to her.

Emerys understands people extremely well and often acts as the emotional balance within tense situations. She’s compassionate and patient, but can also be manipulative when she believes it’s necessary to protect someone.

Aleron hates losing and believes power exists to be used. He pushes people toward success aggressively, especially his wielder Dorian. Charismatic and confident, he often justifies morally questionable choices as necessary.

Brannik is calm, steady, and emotionally warm despite his alignment with destruction. He values patience and protection over aggression and often acts as a calming presence among more volatile Echos.

Kavi is bold, competitive, and restless. He values strength and achievement and constantly seeks challenge in any form. Despite his aggression and pride, he’s deeply driven by purpose and hates feeling useless.

Merrin is thoughtful, analytical, and quietly curious. He enjoys understanding systems and structures and often observes situations before acting. He has a calm, almost detached demeanor and tends to process things logically rather than emotionally.

Having moved from Korea at a young age, she’s learned to rely on herself more than others. She values logic over emotion, quietly watches everything around her, and only forms connections built on real trust.

Odette is quiet, observant, and deeply principled, guided strongly by fairness and kindness. Though she doesn’t speak often, when she does it carries weight. She hates bullying and unfairness and won’t hesitate to defend someone being mistreated, even if it scares her.

Evander is calm, introspective, and emotionally guarded, often expressing himself through writing more than words. He carries a quiet sense of responsibility toward the people he loves and struggles deeply with resentment surrounding his father’s return.

Mathis is a natural leader who’s respected by teammates and peers alike. As captain of the football team, he pushes both himself and others hard, but his recent injury has left him struggling with anger, fear, and the possibility of losing the future he worked for.

April is quiet, observant, and emotionally reserved, still struggling to adjust after moving from New York to New Orleans. She prefers solitude and finds comfort in stillness, quiet neighborhoods, and places where she can think clearly without interruption.

Sometimes I walk around the city early in the morning just to feel like I exist somewhere.
Logan is outgoing, humorous, and naturally protective, making people feel welcome effortlessly. Though he often acts like the class clown, there’s sincerity behind everything he does, and he instinctively looks out for others, whether they ask him to or not.

Isabella is sharp, calculated, and highly controlled, always aware of how others perceive her. She has a natural ability to manipulate situations in her favor while carefully hiding anything personal about herself. Beneath her confidence is something far more guarded and complex.
