This is a semi-small role for book 1. You will most likely be recast for all of Burn's other apperances. You may have to sing in Book 5, but it's not decided.

That's Asha, all right, she was always softhearted and mushy about crazy things. She loved mooning around little dragonets, telling the story of that prophecy. She left a lot of blithering, obsessed dreamy-eyed dragons behind in this village, let me tell you; they still won't shut up about destiny and peace and all that.

Because Burn is bigger and scarier and could crush her like a bug if they actually fought claw to claw, and Blister — that's me — is smarter than both of them put together. She knew she couldn't kill a Burn in a regular duel. It was her idea to involve all the tribes and turn their SandWing throne battle into a world war. She's probably waiting for the other two to kill each other.
That's what it was! When we hatched — the guardians didn't know anything about MudWings, so they thought you were attacking us. But you were trying to help. Your instinct told you to get the rest of us out of our shells. Clay, you know what this means? You weren't trying to kill us at all.

You told your guards — I know, for I was one of them — to kill the other dragonet and take Kestrel back for trial. She tried to grab her daughter and fly away, but the heat of the dragonet's scales burned her talons before she was a wingbeat into the sky, and she had to drop her. She fled, leaving her only living dragonet at your mercy.
When you caught her, the dragonets had hatched. I know. Because I was one of the guards who was with you. You told her you'd forgive her and let her live — if she killed one of her dragonets. So she killed that dragonet with too little fire, right there at the river, with her own claws. But even though she did what you said, you told us to kill her other dragonet anyway! She grabbed her daughter. She tried to fly away — But she was too badly burned and was forced to drop her. So she fled, leaving her only dragonet at your mercy.

I thought I was born a killer, but it turns out I wasn't. Queen Scarlet made me that way… or I let myself become that way. It's like I chose it without knowing I chose it. But you were born that way. You knew what you were like, and you chose to be something else. I guess I feel like I can't be one of you unless I can do that, too.
I call upon the tradition of the Champion's Shield. It says the queen's champion may stand forth for any dragon sentenced to execution. If I can defeat the next dragon you set me to fight, you must let her go free. I want to stand for my mother.

I joined the Talons of Peace to stop killing dragons. I won't argue with Morrowseer, but I'm not doing it myself.
We have to do something. In eight years, the Talons of Peace will come looking for five dragonets. The prophecy says five, and we're going to make it come true … whatever it takes.
