"Let justice be done through the heavens fall."
The justice system of the world is at an all-time low. However, what remains of it still fights to pass judgement upon those who have trampled over the law. In an attempt to devise a new way of restoring order, a new government scheme recruits sixteen former Ultimate students of the prestigious Hope’s Peak Academy's Seijinshiki Branch, all to serve as the Ultimate Jury in one of the most highly anticipated trials across the globe. When none of the jurists reach their intended destination, it’s soon apparent that this scheme may have had sinister intentions all along. The trial itself is plunged into uncertain jeopardy, where as the news is broke, the doors are locked, the courtroom is plunged into darkness, and a large screen begins to drop down, transmitting a 'live video' for all to watch.
Awakening in Seigi Village, a twisted paradise seemingly isolated from the outside world, the Ultimate Jury find themselves under the watch of their new overseer, Themis. With the shocking announcement of a Killing Game, known as the Ultimate Jury Assessment, set to apparently expose the true side of those dedicated to their talent, Ultimate Prosecutor Toshiro Asagi must battle demons of his past, present and future to tip the scales and uncover the truth across two very different courtrooms.

General Information
Welcome to the official Voice Actor call for our ambitious project, 'The Trial of Danganronpa: Law & Order', a web-series that aims to take the traditional Danganronpa formula and mix it with the chaotic and fascinating world of Ace Attorney. Before I begin explaining a lot of the details, please be warned that when you are auditioning, this is a very long-term project and you should expect to be able to maintain your role for a long period of time. Every aspect of this project from the writing to the artwork to the editing won't be instant, but I do hope regardless you decide to join us on this journey. As one final note, we are still open for potential staff roles and thus if something does interest you, please check our original Casting Call or simply add me on Discord @ kiitee to inquire further!
In the near future though, a separate casting call will be made for specific roles.
Roles / Before You Audition
Within this Casting Call, there will be 17 major roles up for grabs. This includes each member of the Ultimate Jury, the former students of Hope's Peak Academy that will be taking part in the Killing Game itself, and our overseer, Themis. Here are a few ground rules to work with before you decide to submit an audition;
You need to be 16+ to audition.
Please be prepared to be able to meet deadlines. When production fully commences, you will be informed the targeted time frame, however, we are more than willing to be flexible and accommodate to everyone. The last thing we want is for a team member to become overwhelmed and stressed.
Please make sure you do have Discord for communication with the whole team.
Following on from the above point, please be prepared to constantly communicate with the rest of the team including your fellow voice actors. We want to be a close-knitted and open environment for everyone.
Whilst you are free to audition for more than one role, please be aware that if in the case you are chosen to be cast, it will only be for one character. There will be no double casting.
There will be no casting done until the deadline hits, which will officially be November 1st. This is not only to give us plentiful time to progress further along, but also I myself am spending all of September finishing up my final dissertation. After the deadline hits and we have a full cast, we plan on having monthly development logs to constantly keep people up to date with our progress. We believe communication is extremely important in projects like these.
And next, what you should consider when submitting an audition.
Please record your auditions in the 'ABC-ABC-ABC' format. You can have a maximum of three takes for each line, but you are not required to.
Within the additional notes, please leave a name you would like to go by, your Discord username and any additional information you feel you should add.
MP3 or WAV format.
Your voice quality will be very important to how far your audition may go with us. If there's a significant amount of background noise or you are consistently peaking for example, there's a good chance that your audition will be rejected almost instantly.
Whilst each line will have basic guidelines, mainly that of how we feel they should sound, this doesn't mean you can't interpret them however you may wish. We value acting over everything. Even if you believe your voice may not match a certain character, please don't feel wavered and give it your best shot.
Please don't artificially modify your voice in any shape or capacity.
Don't worry about pronunciation for certain names or locations at this current point.

Future Plans
Whilst our main focus will be that of the web series, it hopefully won't be the only product emerging from this project as a whole. Along with each respective chapter and section of the series, there will be other videos produced such as; free time events, general skits and whatever else springs to mind. For anyone choosing to audition, you won't only be signing up to be part of the general Danganronpa experience, but hopefully building and growing a great community with a brand new cast of characters that aims to turn the traditional Danganronpa format on its head.
With that, happy auditioning! We all look forward to hearing what you all have to offer!
