The Three Little Mice and the Big Bad Cat Short Story Narration
Project Overview
Hello everyone! I need someone to help me narrate a short story I wrote! The story is a mix of the stories "The Three Little Pigs" and "Belling the Cat!" This will hopefully be used in classrooms and libraries. I'm writing a lot of stories right now and have a plan to make them into full audio dramas in the future! I can pay via PayPal or Zelle once the project is complete. Thank you!
Since I can't fit what I want to hear in the audition panel, I'll put the audition side right here! I've divided the audition sides into separate sections so I can get a sense of the narration and the various characters.
The Three Little Mice and the Big Bad Cat by Alexander Goldstein

Once upon a time, three mice lived happily in a long-forgotten barn.
The first two mice, Milo and Max, were very playful mice. They loved to play all day.
The third mouse, Monty, was the oldest. He was a hardworking little mouse and cared for his two little brothers.

After walking for a while, Milo found a pile of straw on the ground.
“This straw will be perfect!” he squeaked. “Soft and warm, and I’ll be done in no time!”
Monty looked at Mio and shook his head. “Straw may be soft and warm, but it won’t keep you safe!” But Milo didn’t listen. He put the straw in a little pile and made it into a nice, round nest. When he finished, he jumped inside. It wobbled a little, but Milo thought it was perfect.
Max and Monty kept walking. After a while, Max discovered a pile of twigs.
“This will be perfect for a nest!” he said, hauling the twigs over his shoulder. “These twigs will make a real nest. Not too strong, but not too much work. It will be just right.”
Monty shook his head at his brother. “Twigs may be stronger than straw, but your nest will not keep you safe!”
But Max wasn’t listening. He started leaning the twigs together and used pieces of thread to hold them up.

A long, sleek figure prowled the floor, eyes glowing in the dark. His whiskers twitched. His claws clicked softly on the grassy floor. His tail curled with anticipation.
It was the Big Bad Cat—and he had caught the scent of mice.
“Mmm... three little mice. Alone, unaware, they will make a tasty meal for me!” he purred.
He crept toward Milo’s nest of straw.
Milo was snoring gently when a terrible voice cut through the night.
“Little mouse, little mouse, let me come in.”
Milo sat up, eyes wide. “Wh-who’s there?”
The Big Bad Cat laughed. “I’m just a friend looking for a nice snack!”
Milo looked out the window and squeaked. “You’re a cat! I will not let you in! Not by the fur on my whiskery chin!”
“Then I’ll huff, and I’ll puff, and I’ll blow your little nest in.”
The Big Bad Cat huffed and he puffed.

The audiobook narrator. They narrate the whole audiobook, playing all the characters. The characters should have distinct voices. The audition can be found in the description of the project.
