Zach Snyder's Justice League- A Lego Stop Motion Parody

Zach Snyder's Justice League- A Lego Stop Motion Parody

Project Overview

This project is a parody of Zach Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max. The long 4 hour Snyder Cut has been shortened down to a quick, witty piece of lego stop motion animation. It makes fun of the seriousness and characters within the movie.

In the DCEU, Bruce Wayne is much older and worn down, but still a wealthy socialite and owner of Wayne Enterprises. When he transfoms himself into the Batman look, he is muc more similar to Frank Miller's Dark Knight Returns Batman. The ideal fight between Batman and Superman, in the previous movie, came directly from this comic book.  He dedicates himself to protecting Gotham City from its criminal underworld as a highly trained, masked vigilante equipped with various tools and weapons. In The Snyder Cut, Batman is still very dark and broken, but is on a road of redemption to the orgns of atman and wha Batman actually stands for.

In this movie, both Batman and Bruce Wayne have a very deep and gravelly voice to them. So, in your audition I want to hear that deep tone and see a difference between the Batman and Bruce Wayne voice. Below  are some reference materials for both the Bruce Wayne and Batman voice.

  • Batman] Hours. The boxes synchronize, Unity forms, we don’t get there in time to stop it, the planet dies.

I don't care how many demons he’s fought in how many hells... he's never fought us. Not us united.

In the DCEU, Cyborg is former college student athlete Victor Stone turned Cyborg when he is involved in a nearly fatal car crash. His father, Silas Stone, brings him back to life by cybernetically reconstruction with biometic, alien material from one of the mother boxes. His enhancements include the abilities of flight, variable weaponry and technopathy. In Zach Snyder's Justice League, Cyborg is the center of the movie.

  • Victor Stone: You always say that. Ma, you gotta stop making excuses for him. You’re just as busy as he is, but you still make the time.

Victor Stone: Alive… but turned into this. The box went back to sleep and he never returned it. That researcher was Silas Stone. My father.

In the DCEU, Gal Gadot plays Wonder Womanman Immortal demigoddess and Amazon warrior. She orginates from Themesquria, an island of purly Amazon women. In Wonder Woman 2017, Steve Trevor crashes his WWI plane onto this island and Wonder Woman saves him from the wreckage. She then is tasks with bringing Steve Trevor home and defeating Ares the god of war. In man's world, her alter ego is Diana Prince, who works for the United States goverment and tries to stay close to Steve Trevor. In Zach Snyder's Justice league, Wonder Woman is pretty much the same character, except she has to work in a group setting of the Justice League. Also, she is tasked with recruting characters such as Cyborg and helping Superman remembering who he is.

As an actress playing Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot has a specific vocal tone and acent that differenciates herself fro various other preformances. I want to see that disitncitve voice inside of tis audition. There are some links down below for reference to Gal Gadot's performance as Wonder Woman.

  • We need you, Victor. And maybe you need us. I lost someone I loved once. I shut myself off from everyone. But I had to learn to open back up again. The truth is, I’m still working on it. And if you asked to meet me… you’re working on it, too.

In the DCEU, Barry Allen is a Central City college student pursuing a degree in criminal justice in the hopes of exonerating his father of the murder of his wife, Barry's mother. His life experiences result in the creation of the Flash with various unexplained and unimagiable powers.

Ezra Miller

  • Barry Allen: It’s like this layer of dimensional reality, and it seems to manipulate space-time. I call it the Speed Force. Causes me to burn a tremendous amount of calories so I am just a black hole of snacks. I am a snack hole. How many people are on this special fight team?

Barry Allen: Okay. Just gotta go faster than the speed of light. Far beyond the speed of light. You gotta break the rule, Barry, and you gotta do it now. [inhales sharply]

In the DCEU, Both Steppenwolf and Darkseid are alien like characters, who originate from the planet Apokolips.  Steppenwolf  is a New God military officer who leads an army of Parademons  in search of the three Mother Boxes held on Earth. Old, tired, still trying to get out of his own enslavement to Darkseid. Darkseid is a tyrannical New God and Steppenwolf's nephew and master.

This role entales playing both Steppenwolf and Darkseid. I put these two roles together because they have a very similar vocal tone.

  • Steppenwolf: The Mother Boxes will be found and united. No protectors here. No Lanterns, no Kryptonian. This world will fall, like all the others. And I will take my place once again at Darkseid’s side.

Darkseid: I have turned 100,000 worlds to dust looking for Anti-Life. Looking for those who robbed me of my glory. I will stride across their bones and bask in the glow of Anti-Life. And all of existence shall be mine.

In the DCEU, Kal-El or Superman is an inspirational member of the Justice League. It is the entire reason the Justice League assembles because they have to fight off the invasion of Steppenwolf without the aid of Superman. Superman is a survivor of Krypton's explosion and comes to earth in the movie Man of Steel. He is then brought up by Johnathan and Martha Kent. During his childhood, he discovers these powers and later becomes Superman in adulthood. His alter ego is Clark Kent,  a journalist for the Daily Planet in Metropolis. In Zach Snyder's Justice League, Superman is coming closer to completing his overall arc to become the true Superman depicted in the comics. The boy scout hero. The SUperman who fights for truth, justice, and the American way.

  • Superman: I believe in truth... but I'm also a big fan of justice.

    Superman: Not Impressed

In the DCEU, Alfred Pennyworth is Bruce Wayne's butler and watchful protector since the murder of his parents. In Zach Snyder's Justice League, Alfred Pennyworth provdes tactical support for Batman and the Justice League.

Comissioner Gordon is Gotham City's Chief of Police and close aliy to Batman. In Zach Snyder's Justice League, he is there to inform Batman and the Justice League about possible sightings of Parademons and ead them to Steppenwolf's locaion at Gotham Harbor.

I paired both of these roles together because they require relativley the same vocal range and have realitvly the same signifigance within this project.

  • Alfred: But if you start playing with this little box of tricks, I mean, it could be the end of everything. How do you know your team’s strong enough? If you can’t bring down the charging bull, then don’t wave the red cape at it.

Comissioner Gordon: I know what it looks like. Come on, you think he fights criminals for 20 years here and then he goes to Metropolis and kidnaps eight people? I’ll talk to him tonight.

In the DCEU, Lois Lane is a reporter with the Daily Planet in Metropolis. She soon becomes love interest with Clark Kent and close aliy with Superman. In Zach Snyder's Justice League, Lois is still mourning the loss of Clark Kent and Superman. She later is tasked with guding Clark out of his confusion when he is resurected.

  • Lois Lane: Grieving over a symbol. Everywhere I go, everywhere I look, I see that “S.” I hear what people say. They talk like they knew him. But they didn’t know Clark.
