T H E S E C R E T S O F A S K A L
The story is about Penelope Adair, a girl who has spent all her fifteen years of life in a boring private school, doing nothing but staying in her bed all day and going to school every now and then. When her father informed her about staying in literally nowhere, a.k.a a barn called ‘Golden Leaf Stables’ located in the south of the island called ‘Jorvik’ throughout her summer holidays, she drowns in disbelief and disappointment. The barn is owned by her Grandparents who need help with work due to their age, which is the reason for the girl to temporarily move there.
After her father convinced her to take a ride on the beautiful horse called Aiyko who immediately ran away as soon as she touched him, Penelope decided she would hate this place forever.
However, what if she discovers a tree after taking a late-night walk around the fisher village located near her new home, which will lead her to the beginning of her new life as the true heir of the goddess of a secret power called Askal?
Convoy Penelope, as she finds out all about her heritage and secret connection with horses while also going on the journey of finding herself.

I have most of the story figured out already, but I still need more time to finish the whole script and animation.

Penelope is the focus of the story. She will face many obstacles on her journey which will change her character in many ways. She, however, starts as a normal fifteen-year-old teenager waiting for her miracle to happen.
She is annoyed most of the time and gets angry once her phone battery is dead. She doesn't like to go out often except if it is for a date with a cute boy or to go shopping with her best friend Leonie. Overall, it is mostly easy for her to socialize with others as she is a very outgoing and extroverted personality. Over the story, she will become a lot more experienced in life, causing her to think more about her actions and speaking a lot softer with less annoyment in her voice.
PENELOPE (sarcastic): *laugh* Yeah, sure. Like that’ll ever happen.
PENELOPE (annoyed): *groan* I’m actually hating my life right now.
PENELOPE (upset whispering): The last thing I need is some stupid horses to distract me, I honestly just hope there’s Wifi around here somewhere.
Leonie has been Penelope's best friend since fourth grade and the two always stick together. Through the summer holidays, she takes any chance she can to contact her best friend over the phone and gets worried extremely quickly once Penelope doesn't answer within 10 minutes.
This girl knows everything about everyone and is not afraid to tell the news to the world. The only secrets she keeps are from her closest of friends, of which she doesn't have too many. Even though she seems as though she is always the most confident, she can struggle with herself a lot. Leonie is a caring and loving mother-type figure for Penelope who can be active and energetic, but understanding in needed moments.
LEONIE (sarcastic): If there aren't any cute boys, you’ll just have to do with the horses there. *laughs*
LEONIE (soft): Look, I know something's been troubling you. Just let it out, I'll be there to listen.
LEONIE (annoyed): Theodore that asshole! He really messed up this time.
Aiyko is the horse Penelope will bond with over the story. As their friendship progresses, she gains the ability to understand his words.
As he is the guardian of Askal and Jorvik, he thinks thoroughly before talking. His soft voice matches the way he thinks and acts in tough situations. He tries to always be calm and rational however sometimes forgets that only specific people are able to hear his voice.
AIYKO (scared): Penelope! Watch out!
AIYKO (joking): To be honest, no. I didn't like you at first. You had that... 'dirty look' on you if you know what I mean...
AIYKO (soft): You still think it's weird I'm talking to you, don't you?
The old guardian of Askal. She never ages as she is the goddess of true beauty in Jorvik.
Her voice is soft, delicate and almost ghost-like as she is all-knowing and never has to think before she talks, already knowing everything there is to know.
ELISABETH (surprised): This is the first time in a while I've seen a human with no powers...
ELISABETH (serious): It is you, Penelope... but you're a smart one, aren't you? You should have figured it out already.
Penelope's Father who is trying his best to support her in all she does. It, however, gets difficult for him, due to being born with no special heritage.
MICHAEL (calling): Penelope? Could you go look for granny Adelaide while I’ll unpack?
MICHAEL (tired): *sigh* it’s not going to be long anymore until we arrive, honey.
Penelope's Mother. She was the one ruling Askal before meeting Penelope's father. She died after giving birth to her child.
MARIAH (soft): It is fine, Penelope... I will always be here.
Penelope's Grandmother who is the owner of 'Golden Leaf Stables'. She is in her eighties and in urgent help of her family to lead the barn. She know of the secrets of Askal and is supporting Penelope through her journey.
ADELAIDE (happy): *laughs* Well, did this barn amaze you that much? It’s nice seeing you here, Penelope. Even if it is just temporary.
ADELAIDE (serious): Askal is the power flowing through you, Penelope. Your mother possessed it, and now you do too.
